  • Publication number: 20240100682
Abstract: A flexible interface (130) may operably couple a head portion (110, 210) and a shaft (120, 220) of a hand tool (100, 200). The flexible interface may include a retention assembly (160) and a locking assembly (150) including an actuator (152, 250, 250?) defining a locked state and an unlocked state for the hand tool. In the unlocked state, an angle of the head portion may be pivotable relative to a pivot axis (225) substantially perpendicular to a direction of extension of the shaft and, in the locked state, the angle of the head portion is fixed. The actuator may be configured to move in a direction substantially perpendicular to the pivot axis to operate the locking assembly to transition between the locked state and the unlocked state, and configured to move in a direction substantially parallel to the pivot axis to operate the retention assembly to retain hand tool in the unlocked state. A hand tool comprising said flexible interface is also related.

  • Publication number: 20240082995
Abstract: A hand tool (100,200) may include a head portion (110,210) configured to interface with a fastener, a shaft (120,220) and a grip portion at which an operator is enabled to hold the hand tool during operation, and a flexible interface (130,230) configured to operably couple the shaft and the head portion in a locked state and an unlocked state. The flexible interface is also configured to enable the head portion to pivot relative to the shaft about a pivot axis that extends substantially perpendicular to a direction of extension of the shaft. In the unlocked state, an angle of the head portion may be pivotable relative to the pivot axis. In the locked state, the angle of the head portion may be fixed. The flexible interface may include a locking assembly (150) including an actuator (152, 250, 250?) having a locked position defining the locked state and an unlocked position defining the unlocked state.

  • Publication number: 20200094384
Abstract: A ratcheting tool includes a head and a handle, and a gear ring disposed in the head defining a first plurality of teeth defining a first arc having a first radius. A first pawl is disposed in the head and defines a front face, a rearward face, and a second plurality of teeth which defines a second arc having a second radius. A second pawl is disposed in the head and defines a front face, a rearward face, and a third plurality of teeth which defines a third arc having a third radius. When the first pawl and the second pawl are disposed with their rearward faces in vertical alignment and their longitudinal center axes are disposed in a common plane, the second arc of the first pawl is offset from the third arc of the second pawl in a direction parallel to the longitudinal center axes.

  • Patent number: 10513014
Abstract: Example ratcheting tools are provided. One example ratcheting tool includes a head, a gear ring, a first pawl, and a second pawl. The gear ring may include a plurality of gear ring teeth disposed about an outer circumference of the gear ring. The plurality of gear ring teeth may define a plurality of gear ring troughs with each gear ring trough being disposed adjacent to a gear ring tooth, and the gear ring may be disposed within the head. The first pawl and the second pawl may also be disposed within the head. The first pawl may include a plurality of first pawl teeth disposed on a first front face of the first pawl. The second pawl may include a plurality of second pawl teeth being disposed on a second front face of the second pawl. The first pawl and the second pawl may be biased towards the gear ring.

  • Publication number: 20130300685
Abstract: An operation method of a touch panel includes the following steps. A touch signal generated when the touch panel senses a touch is received. According to the touch signal, whether a location of the touch moves from a triggering zone to a working zone on the touch panel is determined. When the location of the touch moves to the working zone from the triggering zone, the touch panel is controlled to operate under a multi-touch mode. When the location of the touch does not move to the working zone form the triggering zone, the touch panel is controlled to operate under a mouse mode.

  • Publication number: 20130293493
Abstract: A signal transmitting method of a touch input device is adapted to the touch input device and a computer device connected with each other. According to an embodiment, the signal transmitting method includes the following steps. A touch signal is obtained by using a touch input device. When the touch signal corresponds to a mouse mode, the touch signal is transmitted to an inbuilt mouse driver of the computer device through a first channel. When the touch signal corresponds to a touchpad mode, the touch signal is transmitted to an inbuilt touchpad driver of the computer device through a second channel different from the first channel. Thus, a single touch input device can be used as a mouse and a touch pad, and provide different input signals to the computer device.

  • Publication number: 20130228049
Abstract: A ratchet wrench includes: a head portion defining a first compartment and a space below; a driving head having an annular driving tooth portion; and first and second detents, each having ratchet teeth to engage the annular driving tooth portion. The first and second detents move laterally between first and second sides of the space simultaneously. When the first and second detents are on the first side, the wrench idle rotates back-pulling along a first direction. When the first and second detents are on the second side, the wrench idle rotates back-pulling along a second direction. Radial alignment diverges between the ratchet teeth of the first detent and the second detent, so that only one of the detents engages the annular driving tooth portion. The other detent is urged against the annular driving tooth portion. When the wrench idle rotates back-pulling, the ratchet teeth of the first and second detents engage with the annular driving tooth portion alternately.

  • Publication number: 20130027301
Abstract: An operation method and a control system for multi-touch control are provided. A map positioner and a map block are set in a display region, and the position of a cursor is set according to an input signal of an operation region. The position of a fast positioner set in the operation region corresponds to the position of the map positioner. The position of the cursor is shifted according to a motion vector inputted by an input device, and the position of the map block is reset. The map block and the cursor are shifted to the map positioner when the input device receives a trigger signal of the fast positioner. An object in the map block is selected, a multi-touch function is enabled, and the operation property of the object is changed according to a relative shift quantity formed by a first and a second control points.

  • Publication number: 20100271332
Abstract: An optical input device is applied in an electronic device. The optical input device includes a light source generator and a photosensitive plate. The light source generator has a body and a light source disposed within the body. The photosensitive plate is electrically connected to the electronic device, or is electrically disposed within the electronic device, and is electrically connected to a microprocessor. The light source of the light source generator emits a light ray through the body to form a light pattern image on the photosensitive plate. The photosensitive plate detects a deformation of the light pattern image, and outputs a control signal to the microprocessor correspondingly according to a shape of the light pattern image, enabling the electronic device to execute a corresponding preset function.
