  • Patent number: 5438744
Abstract: An automatic finishing method for an airtight and waterproof slide fastener, comprising the steps of: supplying each of a pair of slide fastener chains, which has coupling elements attached to a waterproof fastener tape by clamp elements, by a pair of toothed supply rollers meshing with the clamp elements of the respective slide fastener chain; and threading the slide fastener chains through a slider situated on a travelling path of the slide fastener chains for interengaging the slide fastener chains and then discharging the interengaged slide fastener chains from the slider.

  • Patent number: 5369865
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supplying a slider to a slide fastener stringer in motion along a path of travel for the purpose of attaching the slider to the slide fastener stringer are disclosed. The apparatus comprises in combination a slider chute for delivering one slider after another in an upright posture, means for rotatably and releasably supporting the delivered slider at the lower end of the slider chute, means for rotating the slider so as to shift its upright posture to a horizontal posture, and a gripper for nipping the slider on opposite lateral surfaces thereof. The gripper is adapted to reciprocate in a vertical direction between the lower end of the slider chute and an assembly position in a path of travel of the slide fastener stringer positioned as separated downwardly from the slider chute.

  • Patent number: 4455879
Abstract: An inspection method for fastener sliders with automatic lock means in which at the final step in the assembly operation of said slider, the pull tab of said slider is applied a downward biasing force thereto by a predetermined constant stroke of a dial gauge and the quality of the slider is determined by electrical detection signals which detect whether or not the balance between the resilient pressure provided by the dial gauge and the repulsion force of the pull tab falls within a predetermined range. An inspection apparatus for fastener sliders with automatic lock means comprising an intermittent transfer member holding and transferring said slider, a dial gauge supported on a reciprocal mechanism for moving upwardly and downwardly by a predetermined constant stroke, a resilient biasing rod disposed on said reciprocal mechanism adjacent to said dial gauge and a detecting mechanism for electrically detecting whether or not the rotation of the pointer of the dial gauge falls within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 4306659
Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic selection and delivery apparatus adapted to discriminate between correctly and incorrectly assembled bodies consisting of a plurality of assembled parts and at the same time deliver to a delivery chute only those bodies which have been assembled correctly. This is accomplished through a detection operation performed by a delivery pin which scans recesses that are provided in a base to accommodate the assembled bodies, the delivery pin being adapted to detect a through-hole which will exist only in a correctly assembled body.

  • Patent number: 4296547
Abstract: An apparatus for loading a pull tab on a slider body in a machine for progressively assembling sliders for slide fasteners is disclosed. The machine comprises a base, a turret supported on the base so as to rotate about its center axis and has a plurality of spaced-apart recesses arranged circumferentially around and on the turret for receiving and holding a slider body, a plurality of assembling stations arranged around the periphery of the turret, and means for intermittently rotating the turret so as to position the slider body holding recess successively opposite each of the stations. The apparatus is disposed at one of the assembling stations and comprises a pull tab supply means and a pull tab holding means.
