Abstract: The present invention provides a combustible gas sensor that can realize a considerable improvement in the measurement sensitivity and the measurement precision by increasing the contact area between the measurement object gas and the oxidation catalyst particles, increasing the amount of heat generation of oxidation reaction in accordance therewith, and improving the transference of the oxidation reaction heat, while reducing the scale of the whole.

Abstract: The present invention enables the dissipation of thermal energy from a gas chromatography chamber containing a gas chromatography sample by providing the housing in two parts so that ambient air can be bled in during a creation of thermal energy with a heater and additional ambient air can be circulated in a cooling cycle. Additionally, a heat exchanger for receiving liquid nitrogen can also be included to increase the speed in which thermal energy can be dissipated.

Abstract: A hydrocarbon analyzer for rapidly measuring both methane and nonmethane hydrocarbons is provided. The analyzer includes a nonmethane hydrocarbon absorbing first column connected in series with a methane absorbing second column. A sample gas is propelled in a carrier gas through a carrier gas line into the first and second columns via a change-over valve for switching between a branched line severably connected between the carrier gas line and a first flame ionization detector for measuring nonmethane hydrocarbons and a second flame ionization detector connected to the second column for measuring methane.
