  • Patent number: 5985199
Abstract: In a mold for molding a slide fastener slider, a first template has a first part of a cavity for molding a rear section of an outer contour of the slider body except an upper surface portion of an upper wing and also has a first core for molding a rear section of an element guide channel of the slider body; a second template which is movable toward and away from the first template has a second cavity part for molding a front section of the outer contour of the slider body and also has a second core for molding a front section of the element guide channel; and a third template which is slidable on the first and second templates has a third part of the cavity for molding a pull-tab attaching lug of the slider body and an outer contour of the upper surface portion/shape of the upper wing. For molding, these templates are brought together to form the cavity, and then molten molding material is poured into the cavity via a channel and a sprue.

  • Patent number: 5568674
Abstract: In a slide fastener slider, an attachment lug stands from a slider body and has a pair of support projections facing each other, defining a recess for receiving a pintle of a pull tab. The lug additionally has opposite reinforcing projections situated outside the respective support projections. For assembly, the support projections are bent toward the recess by pressing, and at the same time, the reinforcing projections are bent against the associated support projections to seal and hold the pintle of the pull tab. As the pintle of the pull tab is thus attached to the attachment lug reliably, the lug is adequately durable against any movement of the pull tab.

  • Patent number: 5329674
Abstract: A slider with an automatic stop function for a linear slide fastener in which leg portions of the fastener elements are covered with blades and the like. A slider body comprises an upper wing and a lower wing which are interconnected by a guide post. A narrow linear rib is provided on the inner face of the upper wing to guide edges of blades for covering leg portions of fastener elements and to slide on the upper faces of the coupling head portion of the fastener elements. Pressure lands are provided at a lower height than the rib on both sides of the rib in the neighborhood of the guide post and slide along the blades being pressed against the fastener elements. A leaf spring with an automatic stop function is disposed on the surface of the upper wing so that the tip end thereof serves as stop claw. The stop claw is inserted into the middle portion of the linear rib and the pressure lands to stop the sliding of the slider automatically.

  • Patent number: 5194943
Abstract: A detection circuit for detecting a color temperature of the ambient light of an object is provided in a video camera. A .gamma.-correction circuit for subjecting a luminance signal Y obtained by processing an output signal of a solid-state imaging device to .gamma.-correction with a fixed gamma coefficient changes the correction level of the luminance signal Y in accordance with the fluctuation of the color temperature detected by the detection circuit. As a result, it is prevented that in a low color temperature, a red portion of a reproduced image becomes abnormally bright. Further, there is provided an illuminance detection circuit. In a low illuminance, the correction level of the .gamma.-correction circuit is reduced to prevent mixture of the noise.

  • Patent number: 4206931
Abstract: An apparatus for fixedly securing a cylinder head cover to the cylinder head of an engine having a bolt embedded in and projecting outwardly of the engine so as to protrude through a hole in the cover. A cap nut is engaged with the outer end of the bolt for pressing the cover against the cylinder head. A seal packing and a washer are disposed in surrounding relationship to the bolt and confined between the cover and the cap nut. The seal packing includes an annular lip portion which projects axially of the seal packing and passes through a hole in the washer, which annular lip portion is disposed in snug sealing engagement with an end wall of the cap nut in surrounding relationship to the bolt. The washer preferably cooperates with at least two such bolts to prevent rotation of the washer.

  • Patent number: 4178898
Abstract: A thermostatic valve for intake air temperature compensation for an internal combustion engine includes a housing formed with first, second, and third openings leading, respectively, to the atmosphere, a negative pressure motor, and the intake manifold of the engine. To this housing is secured a temperature sensor including a piston rod to be actuated by a thermally expandable element whose volume increases or decreases with a change in temperature. A valve element to be moved into and out of contact with a valve seat by the piston rod of the temperature sensor is accommodated in a casing. Inside the casing a holed partition member is disposed between the first and third openings and between the second and third openings, and a check valve designed to open in one direction only is located between the partition member and the third opening.
