  • Patent number: 4318262
Abstract: A bar-positioning member comprising a long metal wire or wire rod with at least one indentation to receive a metal bar intersectingly disposed relative to the wire. The indentation is formed by bending part of the wire and it has only one opening which opens along the longitudinal direction of the wire. The indentation has a bottom shaped approximately in conformity with the circumference of the bar.An apparatus for making a bar positioning member, as above described, comprising a pendulumlike mold member swingable about the base end thereof. The mold member has a grip to hold an intermediate portion of the wire, and the contour of the base end is shaped in conformity with the shape of the indentation.

  • Patent number: 4288488
Abstract: A laminated packaging material having high impermeability to gases and high workability is prepared by the lamination of a layer of copolymer of vinylidene chloride containing 3-10% by weight of a plasticizer of a number average molecular weight of less than 500 with another layer of a synthetic resin containing 5-70% by weight of at least one organic additive of a number average molecular weight of about 800-10,000 and selected from the group consisting of glycerides of higher saturated or unsaturated fatty acids and of epoxidized fatty acids, rosin and rosin derivatives, oligomeric copolymers of styrene with isobutylene, butadiene or isoprene, oligomeric polyesters which are formed by polycondensation of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid with 6-10 carbon atoms and polyhydric alcohol with 2-6 carbon atoms and have a number average molecular weight of 1,000-2,000, and oligomeric epoxides formed by polycondensation between epichlorhydrin and bisphenol.

  • Patent number: 4275544
Abstract: An improved method of vacuum packaging by using a specific laminated film as a package film, the laminated film being composed of a plastically deformable layer of a synthetic resin having a yield stress more than 50 kg/cm.sup.2 at a temperature of 23.degree. C. and an elongation of less than 30% at elastic limit at a shaping temperature of 50.degree. to 180.degree. C. and an elastic layer of a synthetic resin having an elongation of more than 40% at elastic limit at the shaping temperature.

  • Patent number: 4266503
Abstract: An apparatus for forming a cloud of magnetic toner particles has a rotatable magnet roller with a number of magnetic poles disposed within a non-magnetic cylindrical sleeve. Magnetic toner particles are supplied from a hopper onto the sleeve. A magnetic bar is disposed above the sleeve. The rotation of the magnet roller causes the sleeve to carry magnetic toner particles thereon. When the magnetic toner particles carried approach to the magnetic bar, those become in a cloudy state.

  • Patent number: 4233935
Abstract: A magnetic brush apparatus is provided with a hopper for supplying powdered one-component magnetic developer to a cylindrical sleeve housing a rotating magnet roller with a number of magnetic poles. The powdered magnetic toner supplied onto the sleeve surface is formed into a magnetic brush on the sleeve surface under control of alternating magnetic field generated by the magnet roller. The magnet brush is carried around the sleeve surface with rotation of the magnet roller. Outside the sleeve surface a predetermined distance is positioned a magnetic member which may be attached to the tip end of a doctor blade. The magnetic member disturbs the alternating magnetic field on the sleeve surface, thereby restricting the height of the powdered developer passing between the end of the magnetic member and the sleeve surface.

  • Patent number: 4143011
Abstract: A vinylidene chloride copolymer composition is produced by copolymerizing 60 to 95 wt. % of vinylidene chloride and 40 to 5 wt. % of a comonomer in the presence of a rigid polymer which has a softening temperature of 50 to 180.degree. C. and a melt viscosity of 0.1 to 500 poise at 170.degree. C. and is soluble in vinylidene chloride monomer and is not substantially miscible to the vinylidene chloride copolymer, at a ratio of 0.01 to 5 wt. parts per 100 wt. parts of the monomer mixture.
