    Abstract: A remote control system includes a remote control receiver storing an operation code controlling an electronic device, and a remote control transmitter operable to store a received operation code. The remote control receiver is operable to read the stored operation and to transmit the read operation code to the remote control transmitter. The remote control transmitter is operable to store the transmitted operation code, and to transmit the stored operation code to the remote control receiver according to operation on the operation unit. The remote control receiver is operable to control the electronic device according to the operation code transmitted from the remote control transmitter. The remote control system remotely controls the electronic device reliably with simple operation.

    Abstract: A control part for causing transmission of a remote control signal from a transmission part according to a resistance of a pressure-sensitive conductive contact part causes periodic transmission of a repetition signal, when the resistance of the pressure-sensitive conductive contact part is kept constant. Thus, when an operating body is continuously held down with a constant force and the resistance of the pressure-sensitive conductive contact part is kept constant, the control part causes periodic transmission of the repetition signal having a smaller number of pulses, at predetermined intervals. With such an operation, a remote control transmitter capable of reducing power consumption is provided.

    Abstract: For a remote controller that is mainly used for simply and surely controlling various electronic devices, when predetermined pressing force is imposed on an operating body, a predetermined set value is stored in a storing section when a detection value of a pressure-sensitive conducting contact exceeds a predetermined resistance value and the detected value is stored in the storing section when the detection value of the contact point is within the range of the predetermined resistance value. Since a remote control signal is generated using a ratio of a value stored in the storing section and a value obtained when the remote controller is operated, an electronic device can be controlled without being influenced by variation of elements constituting the remote controller.
