Patent number: 9356480Abstract: An electric motor having a rotor structure and a production method thereof, wherein a strain due to temperature change does not occur and a manufacturing problem does not occur. Each permanent magnet does not contact each other, and a deformable intervening member is positioned between the end surfaces of the magnets. Intervening member is an elastically or plastically deformable member, and the thickness of the intervening member in the direction of the rotation axis of the rotor is determined so that the neighboring permanent magnets, which are bonded to a rotor core within a manufacturing temperature range of the rotor, do not contact each other at a lower limit of an operating temperature of the electric motor.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2013Date of Patent: May 31, 2016Assignee: FANUC CORPORATIONInventors: Akira Yamaguchi, Tsuyoshi Furuya

Publication number: 20050231053Abstract: An electric motor 1 includes a rotor 4 having a rotary shaft 9, a stator 5 annularly surrounding the outer periphery of the rotor 4 in spaced relation therewith, a housing 3 for protecting at least the axial end surfaces of the stator 5, bearings 2 for rotatably supporting the rotary shaft 9, and a bearing mounting member 7 arranged around the rotary shaft for fixing the bearings 2 on the housing 3. The electric motor 1 further includes an adjusting member 11 interposed between the bearing mounting member 7 and the housing 3 for adjusting the diametrical inclination of the axial width of the space between the bearing mounting member 7 and the housing 3.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2005Publication date: October 20, 2005Applicant: FANUC LTDInventors: Takashi Okamoto, Tsuyoshi Furuya

Patent number: 6917137Abstract: At least one cavity is formed extending along the axis of rotation of a rotor. One or more elastic members are fitted into the cavity to balance the rotor. Once the elastic members are inserted in the cavity, they apply their own elasticity to the inner wall of the cavity, so that they are stably held in the cavity.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2003Date of Patent: July 12, 2005Assignee: Fanuc Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Okamoto, Tsuyoshi Furuya, Katsuhiko Imabori

Patent number: 6828704Abstract: An electric motor capable of securing sufficient degree of freedom in selecting a direction of approaching and connecting electric cables to internal cables of the electric motor. A cable introducing member is in the form of a hollow rectangular prism having four side walls and a through hole formed on one of the side walls. The cable introducing member is detachably mounted on a base member fixed on a body of the electric motor by screws to have one of four orientations angularly displaced by 90° so that the through hole is positioned in conformity with the approach direction of the electric cables. The position of the through hole can be changed by detaching the cable introducing member from the base member and remounting the member to have a different orientation. A terminal rest is provided on the base for connection of the electric cables with the internal cables.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2003Date of Patent: December 7, 2004Assignee: Fanuc Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Okamoto, Tsuyoshi Furuya

Publication number: 20040164636Abstract: An electric motor capable of easily obtaining a required output characteristic. Two separated windings are provided for each of phases U, V, W. Connector units A-I for connecting the windings, and amplifier connection terminals AT1-AT2 are provided. By selectively setting connection states of the connector units A-I, an electric motor having stator windings in a star connection in series or parallel, or an electric motor having stator windings in a delta connection in series or parallel is obtained. By connecting amplifiers to the amplifier connection terminals AT1, AT2 separately, and selecting the connection states of the connector units A-I, an electric motor having an output characterstic equivalent to two electric motors can be obtained. Depending on a machine to which an electric motor is to be applied, an electric motor having an optimum output characteristic can be obtained only be selecting the connection states of the connector units.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2004Publication date: August 26, 2004Applicant: Fanuc Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Okamoto, Tsuyoshi Furuya, Akira Yamaguchi
