  • Publication number: 20110171479
Abstract: An emulsion comprising the following (A), (B) and (C): (A) an olefinic copolymer comprising a structural unit derived from ethylene and/or a linear ?-olefin and a structural unit derived from a vinyl compound represented by the formula (I): CH2?CH—R??(I) wherein R represents a secondary alkyl group, a tertiary alkyl group or a alicyclic hydrocarbon group, or a polymer obtained by graft polymerizing an ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride to the olefinic copolymer, (B) an acrylic resin comprising a structural unit derived from an ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid and a structural unit derived from an ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, (C) water.

  • Publication number: 20110003942
Abstract: A process for producing a modified olefin polymer includes the steps of: (1) blending 100 parts by weight of an olefin polymer, 0.01 to 20 parts by weight of a polar group-carrying unsaturated compound, and 0.001 to 20 parts by weight of an organic peroxide, with one another, in a continuous extruder at a temperature T1 for a time S1, thereby forming a first blend; (2) blending the first blend in the continuous extruder at a temperature T2 for a time S2, thereby forming a second blend; and (3) blending the second blend in the continuous extruder at a temperature T3 for a time S3. T1, T2 and T3 have specific relationships to decomposition temperatures of the organic peroxide, and S1, S2 and S3 have specific relationships to half-lives of the organic peroxide.

  • Patent number: 6805822
Abstract: A method for producing powder of a thermoplastic elastomer having a sphere-reduced average particle diameter of 700 &mgr;m or less by an under water cut method which comprises discharging the thermoplastic elastomer in melt state through a plurality of orifice in a dice in into water, and cutting the discharged matter with a cutter blade rotating along the die surface to obtain powder of the thermoplastic elastomer, wherein the method satisfies the following conditions (a) and (b): (a) the temperature of the thermoplastic elastomer directly before the die is from 120 to 220° C., and (b) the temperature of a die is from 230 to 350° C.

  • Patent number: 6084046
Abstract: A random copolymer comprising ethylene, an .alpha.-olefin and a branched conjugated polyvalent olefin, wherein (i) ethylene, the .alpha.-olefin and an iodine value respectively satisfy the following inequalities: 0<ethylene<100 (% by mol), 0<.alpha.-olefin<100 (% by mol) and 0<iodine value<370 (g/100 g), (ii) an intrinsic viscosity [.eta.] measured in decalin at 135.degree. C. of the random copolymer satisfies the following inequality: 0.1 (dl/g)<[.eta.]<10 (dl/g) and (iii) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn).ltoreq.5.

  • Patent number: 5213038
Abstract: In a plate exchange apparatus for a rotary press, a plate winding rod is pivotally fitted in a winding rod hole in an outer circumferential portion of a plate cylinder and has a spring groove extending almost an entire length thereof. A plurality of leaf springs are provided in the spring groove. Each leaf spring is constituted by a leaf spring member to have a U-shaped section, and has an end formed with a press portion to urge a leading end of a plate against a surface of a gap of the plate cylinder and the other end formed with a bent portion to catch a bent end wound on a circumferential surface of the plate cylinder. A biasing member biases the plate winding rod in a predetermined rotational direction. A plate winding rod pivoting unit is coupled to an end portion of the plate winding rod by a cam mechanism.
