  • Patent number: 11733296
Abstract: A method of testing a PIN diode for a power limiter circuit comprises measuring a reverse bias current of the PIN diode; applying a reverse bias voltage to the PIN diode; increasing the reverse bias voltage until the reverse bias current of the PIN diode reaches a threshold current indicative of a reverse voltage breakdown; and determining whether the reverse bias breakdown voltage of the PIN diode is within an acceptable range of reverse bias breakdown voltages corresponding to a power range at which the power limiter circuit would enter power limiting mode with the PIN diode.

  • Patent number: 7565123
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for improved temperature compensation of received RF signals. An RF receiver includes receiver circuitry which receives an RF signal and demodulates it to generate an output signal. Temperature compensation circuitry is coupled to the receiver circuitry and includes a diode having diode temperature characteristics. The temperature compensation circuitry adjusts the output signal of the receiver circuitry in response to the diode temperature characteristics to provide a tighter minimum trigger level.

  • Patent number: 6829148
Abstract: A circuit on a printed circuit board transmits radio frequency (RF) signals. A modulator operatively coupled to the printed circuit board modulates a signal to be transmitted by modulating an information signal onto a carrier signal. A ground plane attaches to edges and to first and second surfaces of the printed circuit board. The ground plane electrically connects to components of the modulator. A power transistor physically attaches to the printed circuit board and electrically connects to the ground plane through a slot in the printed circuit board. The ground plane provides a suitable ground reference potential for both the modulator and the power transistor without individually constructed circuit boards for each. A ground isolation barrier formed on the ground plane may prevent “cross talk” between the modulator and the power transistor.

  • Patent number: 5216582
Abstract: A housing assembly forms a fixed disk drive module for a low profile fixed disk drive shock-mounted therein. A frame defines front and a rear endwalls and two sidewalls. Each sidewall defines on one edge a row of enclosed cover slots having receiving portions and latching portions and on the other edge a row of open cover slot openings including entry portions and latching portions. A top cover and a bottom cover each include two peripheral flanges each defining a series of locking tab formations, one series being sized and aligned to mate in a hinging relation with corresponding ones of the enclosed cover slots and the other series to enter the open cover slot openings as the top cover is rotated toward the frame. The locking tab formations of the covers are adapted to enter and engage the latching portions as the covers are longitudinally displaced relative to the frame to an enclosure position.
