  • Publication number: 20230278313
Abstract: A modular foundation structure for artificial surface systems may include a plurality foundation sections. Each of the foundation section may comprise a structure base layer, an adhesive layer, and an impact and thermal protective layer. The adhesive layer may cover the structural base layer, and the impact and thermal protective layer may be attached to the structural base layer via the adhesive layer. The foundation sections may be provided as separate foundation sections that may be positionable to be attached to one another to form the modular foundation structure. The foundation sections may be attachable one another with a section adhesive. Embodiments may include a connection edge that may be positioned to surround and abut a perimeter of the modular foundation structure. Embodiments may also include an artificial surface layer that may be positioned to cover an upper surface area of the modular foundation structure.

  • Patent number: 10466332
Abstract: In one example, a method for acquiring a medical image includes activating a body radiofrequency (RF) coil in a body coil receive mode to obtain body calibration information of a subject. The method further includes, while the body RF coil is in the body coil receive mode, activating a surface RF coil in a surface coil receive mode to obtain surface calibration information of the subject, and correcting a reconstructed image with an intensity correction filter determined from the body calibration information and surface calibration information.

  • Publication number: 20190263090
Abstract: A modular foundation structure for artificial surface systems includes a structural base layer with a shaped rigid foam having contoured and elevated features, an adhesive layer covering the structural base layer, and an impact and thermal protective layer attached to the structural base layer via the adhesive layer. The impact and thermal protective layer is configured to support an artificial surface layer and has a relatively higher melting point and compression recovery factor than the structural base layer. The shaped rigid may be a closed-cell foam such as Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) or Expanded polyethylene (EPE), and the impact and thermal protective layer may be a bead molded Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) foam. The impact and thermal protective layer may have a melting point of about 300 degrees Fahrenheit, and the structural base layer has a melting point of less than 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Patent number: 10323361
Abstract: A synthetic turf system and method includes turf tufted from monofilament fibers of a thermoplastic polymer where about 1 in about 32 tuft rows comprise at least one antistatic filament per tuft. Each antistatic filament has a first nonconductive polymeric component coextensive with a second non-conductive component. One or more of the antistatic filaments substantially reduces static electrical discharge within the turf. The thermoplastic polymer for each fiber may comprise at least one of nylon, polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyester. Each tuft of the tufted turf may be twisted and each tuft may be slit to form multiple ends. The turf system may comprise stitched turf. Each antistatic filament may comprise a carbon core surrounded by a non-conductive sheath, wherein a ratio of the antistatic filament per number of tuft rows may comprise at least one of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.

  • Patent number: 9194086
Abstract: A vertically draining, particulate confinement structure may prevent side to side migration of particulate materials and may provide a way to ensure a consistent fill depth of the particulate materials. The particulate materials may include rubber granules. The vertical draining feature of the system may prevent water from accumulating on the turf surface by providing adequate vertical drainage. The vertical draining feature may be attributed to the combination of the turf surface with a confinement structure and the particulate materials that support this turf surface. The confinement structure and particulate materials also inhibit underlayment migration of the turf surface.

  • Publication number: 20080300937
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide increased user-to-user interaction and increase the sphere of influence event attendees have on one another by sharing what event functions and other features are being attended by persons having similar interests. Embodiments of the present invention may provide a new and enhanced end-user interface to social networking users, especially individual and business attendees of large events. Embodiments of the invention expand social networking principles to allow event attendees to influence and rely on one another in selecting courses and sessions. This may be accomplished by allowing a particular attendee to view the chosen schedules of other attendees while the particular attendee is selecting an attendance schedule before and throughout a conference or other similar event by searching for and matching user characteristics in social-networking fashion and displaying event functions selected by matching users.
