  • Patent number: 7088788
Abstract: The present invention provides a communication device and a digital encoding method thereof. The communication device comprises a first and a second emitting devices respectively communicating at a first and a second communication channels. Each emitting device emits the same piece of data through continually emitting the same signal section for six times. The signal section is encoded in five bits. A receiving device alternately jumps between the first and second communication channels to receive signal sections emitted by the first and second emitting devices. The time of the receiving device at each communication channel comprises a phase lock time and a reception time of a whole signal section. The present invention has the advantages of having a very good quality of data transmission, reducing the cost, saving installation space, and facilitating the operation.

  • Patent number: 6745255
Abstract: The present invention provides a small memory device with drivers on device, which comprises a memory and a bluetooth transceiver module or a wireless transceiver module (e.g., IEEE 802.11b). In addition to common memory function, the memory can have a bluetooth drivervon device so that the bluetooth transceiver module can perform short-distance wireless transmission. The bluetooth transceiver module can thus transmit the data in the memory or receive information into the memory for storage. Besides, other common drivers can be inbuilt in the memory so that a computer system can automatically detect and install the drivers. The user needs not to take CD-ROM disks or floppy disks along with him for installation. The present invention provides a portable memory having the effects of short-distance wireless transmission, plug-and-play, and high portability.

  • Publication number: 20030014676
Abstract: A method of remote start of wireless transmission USB for application on computer systems of wireless perimeters as a sensor, formed by R/C charging/discharging devices or WATCH DOG TIME OUT, that regularly supplies power to wake up the sensor receiver through a remote start and, with signals available, the wake-up function could be carried out directly and in case no, the unit would switch to power-conservation suspend mode, so that the USB suspend power could be conserved.

  • Publication number: 20030014577
Abstract: A USB wireless keyboard protocol, applied to a computer system using a wireless keyboard. When the USB has entered a standby status, and when the keyboard key is pressed to activate the system from a distant end, to save power consumption and satisfy the regulation of USB standby mode, the receiver will supply power in a specific period of time to the RF module (or I.R.LED) to receive the identification codes transmitted by the keyboard. To reduce reception time, it has additional shorter dummy codes during normal transmission of identification codes, to shorten the time for identification, saving power consumption at USB standby mode.

  • Publication number: 20020190960
Abstract: A method for controlling access to and operation of a screen cursor of a computer based on the identification of a user's fingerprint is disclosed. The method includes the steps of (a) establishing a database of fingerprints of authorized users of the computer in advance; (b) reading a fingerprint of a finger of a user who attempts to access the computer by positioning and moving the finger on a mouse pad in connection with the computer; (c) identifying the fingerprint with the database; (d) denying the access to the computer if the fingerprint cannot be recognized; (e) calculating displacement of the finger on the touch pad and converting the displacement into a corresponding distance on the screen; and (f) moving the screen cursor through the distance on the screen. In the method, the touch pad functions to read the fingerprint and determine the displacement of the finger whereby the security and operability of the computer can be enhanced without additional devices.
