  • Patent number: 9497414
Abstract: A telephone with a video function is provided, including a projection module, a network module, a video-audio capturing module, a conference module and a processor. The network module provides a network interface. The video-audio capturing module is configured to capture an image and voice of a local user, and accordingly generates local video-audio data. The conference module provides the video conference function. The processor is electrically connected to the projection module, the network module, the video-audio capturing module and the conference module. When the processor enables the video conference function of the conference module, the telephone establishes a connection with a remote apparatus through the network interface, in order to receive a remote video-audio data of a remote user from the remote apparatus, and transmit the local video-audio data to the remote apparatus. The projection module projects an image corresponding to the remote video-audio data onto a projection surface.

  • Patent number: 7605807
Abstract: A control circuit for balancing current in a thin display device includes a light source, a power supply, and a control part. The light source includes a plurality of parallel light-emitting diode (LED) rows. The LED row includes at least one LED and a switch unit. The switch unit is in series connection with the LED. The switch unit has two working conditions, one is on and the other is off, to determine whether the current passes through the LED row. The power supply provides a working power for the LEDs. The control part detects the currents of the LED rows, controls the on-state timing ratio of the switch unit and controls the output power of the power supply.

  • Patent number: 7374316
Abstract: A backlight module comprises a baseboard, at least one light-emitting element and a heat-dispersing member. The baseboard has at least one through-hole. The light-emitting element is installed in one of the through-holes and is electrically connected to a surface of the baseboard. The heat-dispersing member adjacent to the baseboard can contact the light-emitting elements directly.

  • Publication number: 20070229448
Abstract: A backlight module including a control unit, a backlight driving unit, a first light source set, and a second light source set is provided. The backlight driving unit is controlled by the control unit to generate a driving command to light on/off the light source sets. Therefore, the first and second light source set can be lighted on or off by turns according to a predetermined value, e.g., a time interval, times of power on operations. Otherwise, the second light source set may be used to compensate a brightness loss of the first light sources set when the displaying brightness is not enough, so as to maintain the displaying brightness within a predetermined range. Therefore, a longer lifetime of the backlight module can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20070075217
Abstract: A backlight module includes a base, a light source unit, a light guide unit, a light sensor unit, and a controller. The base confines a receiving space. The light source unit is disposed in the receiving space. The light guide unit extends into the receiving space for guiding a portion of light emitted by the light source unit outwardly from the receiving space. The light sensor unit is disposed outside the receiving space to receive the portion of the light guided by the light guide unit, and is operable so as to generate an electrical output signal corresponding to the light sensed thereby. The controller is disposed outside the receiving space and connected electrically to the light source unit and the light sensor unit, and controls operation of the light source unit.

  • Publication number: 20060061249
Abstract: A reflecting structure for planar gas discharge lamps to improve luminance includes a front glass panel on a light emission side, a rear glass panel on a backlight side, at least one pair of electrodes, a fluorescent layer abutting the light emission side and a reaction gas held between the front glass panel and the rear glass panel. The electrodes have a voltage difference to activate the reaction gas to generate discharge which actuates the fluorescent layer to generate light. The light emits through the light emission side of the front glass panel. The invention further provides a light reflective element to reflect the light passing through the backlight side to the front light emission side to increase light utilization and improve the luminance of the light emission side.
