Abstract: A hands free umbrella includes an umbrella having a pole that has a bottom end and a top end. A canopy is attached to the top end of the pole. A handle is attached to the bottom end of the pole and extends downwardly away therefrom. The handle has a bottom side, a top side and a peripheral side wall extending between the top and bottom sides. The handle is substantially solid. A securing member for releasably attaching the handle to a belt is positioned on the handle.

Abstract: A biodegradable, low biological toxicity, particulate radiographic contrast medium comprises biodegradable polymeric spheres of average molecular weight average diameter about 10-1,000 nm or about 0.01-1.0 micron carrying in at least radiographic contrasting amount of a radiographically opaque element.A method of obtaining a tomographic image of the body portion of a subject comprises administering to the subject a radiographically-detectable amount of the biodegradable, low-toxicity radiographic medium of claim 1; allowing for the spheres to be taken-up by the body portion; and X-raying an area comprising the body portion.A method of improving the contrast of a tomographic image of a body portion of a subject comprises administering to the subject a radiographically-detectable amount of the biodegradable, low-toxicity radiographic medium of claim 1; allowing for the spheres to be selectively taken-up by the body portion; and X-raying an area comprising the body portion.

Abstract: A safety cap for tightly closing a container having liquid radioactive iodine solution in it. The cap is provided with a pair of holes through which extend a pair of straws, each of the straws having an inner end in communication with the interior of the container. Each straw also has an outer end, one of which is insertable into the patient's mouth for drinking the liquid radioactive iodine solution in the container, and the other of which is insertable into a glass of water so that, after the patient has drunk most of the liquid radioactive iodine solution in the container, the residue of the solution in the bottle may be flushed out by forming a partial vacuum in the interior of the bottle, thereby causing the water in the glass to be drawn into the interior of the container to be mixed with the residue of the solution and, thereafter, to be drawn into the mouth and drunk by the patient.
