  • Patent number: 5479855
Abstract: A belt-type printing machine, especially for a plurality of colors, comprising at least one printing station (2) containing a frame (1), idler rolls (7) arranged in bearings therein, an impression cylinder (6) for guiding a continuous web (8) to be printed arranged in preferably fixed bearings on the frame (1), a plate cylinder (3), two sprocket wheels (4, 5) coaxially mounted to but not commonly driven with the plate cylinder (3) and at least one tensioning cylinder (10), around which an endless belt (11) extends having at least one flexible printing plate and being provided with perforations for the sprocket wheels (4, 5), wherein an inking assembly (13) allocated to the flexible printing plate of the belt (11), a drive acting upon the sprocket wheels (4, 5) to the belt (11) and an additional single drive (32) acting upon the plate cylinder (3) to the belt (11) for the purpose of avoiding the jump movement between the perforations of the belt and the pins of the sprocket wheels are provided.

  • Patent number: 4988051
Abstract: A method of winding continuously supplied material onto several core tubes, especially on printing presses, has a double backing-roller winder that has two backing rollers and a bed wherein the material is wound into a reel while resting on a tensioning roller. The material (11) is initially wound on a core tube (7) that rests against the two backing rollers (3 and 4) in the double backing-roller winder until the reel is heavy enough to weigh down against the supporting roller (21) in a Pope winder (2). A pivoting mechanism (23) lifts the reel off the bed (14) of the double backing-roller winder, over the second backing roller (4), and against the supporting roller in the Pope winder. The reel is then wound in that position until it attains its prescribed final diameter.

  • Patent number: 4587898
Abstract: A corrugated paper arrangement for manufacturing printed corrugated paper cuts, in which a corrugated paper machine has an integrated rotary printing machine with several printing stations, and at least one longitudinal cutter and at least one transverse cutter. The printing stations are integrated to serve for printing a paper web with laterally adjacent areas of different width and length, which are individually or in groups connectable with the drive of the arrangement. The printing stations carry for each area, printing forms mounted on an endless exchangeable carrier band of different lengths. Several longitudinal cutters and transverse cutters or punching presses are provided for the different area lengths.
