  • Patent number: 9273303
Abstract: The present invention relates to a exsiccated or lyophilized composition comprising: a nucleic acid polymerization enzyme and cellobiose, in which the enzyme is stable for a period of time, even at a temperature of up to 55° C. The composition of the invention can also comprise further reagents, such as salts, primers specific for a template DNA present in a sample, probes, etc. The invention relates to a method for preparing an exsiccated or lyophilized composition comprising a nucleic acid polymerization enzyme and cellobiose, possibly in containers, in which the enzyme is lyophilized and ready for use in molecular biology applications upon addition of the sample.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 19, 2010
Date of Patent: March 1, 2016
    Assignee: Sentinel CH S.p.A.

  • Publication number: 20100215548
Abstract: The present invention relates to an enhanced extracting and sampling device for collecting faeces samples, particularly suitable for performing laboratory diagnostic tests in a total laboratory automation, in particular for dosing one or more analytes, and allowing the screening of markers of diagnostic interest for purposes of prevention and treatment. Such a device for sampling faeces may indeed be received and processed by robotic systems in highly automated analysis laboratories as the samples of body fluids (whole blood, plasma, serum, etc.) are processed.

  • Patent number: 4578169
Abstract: A planar rigid support for electrophoresis comprising a cellulose acetate strip or the like can bear on two fixed highly spongy plates which are placed in the electrolytic bath so as to emerge from the upper level thereof. In particular, the support may comprise a resilient strip-holder, in which the fastening occurs by providing in the strip two series of holes which are inserted in stakes provided on two opposite sides of the strip-holder. The several steps for the analysis of total and fractional proteins are obtained displacing each support and other fittings by a handling means preferably provided with magnetic pliers cooperating with iron portions provided on each support or fitting to be handled.

  • Patent number: 4350762
Abstract: An aminopyrine-improved Trinder's reagent is disclosed to be used for the dosing of hydrogen peroxide from enzymatic oxidation of metabolic substrata, such as glucose, cholesterol, uric acid, tryglycerides and coline. The use of such an improved reagent in Trinder's reaction enables to avoid any interference from bilirubin, particularly in the determination of uric acid. The dosing process (for uric acid) is also disclosed by means of such a reagent.
