    Abstract: A pruning device is disclosed including a first handle coupled at a first end to a first jaw and a second handle, a first end of the second handle coupled to a second jaw. The first jaw and the second jaw are pivotally connected. A rotatable handle is interfaced to a second end of the first handle such that it rotates with respect to the second handle. A first end of a flexible medium is affixed to the second handle and a second end of the flexible medium affixed to the rotatable handle, whereas turning of the rotatable handle winds the flexible medium around the rotatable handle and the second handle is pulled towards the first handle.

The router mounts a fluted cutting bit having a length preferably of at least three inches, the bit adapted to laterally cut through a longitudinal axis of small diameter vegetation.
