  • Patent number: 11501030
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the automatic generation of characterized image data. For this purpose, a visual representation of a component is computed on the basis of existent structure data for the component, wherein the surface properties of the visual representation of the component may be varied based on predefined characteristic properties. Because, in the computation of such visual representations, both the component itself and the underlying characteristic surface properties are known, this information may be used for characterizing the corresponding parts in the visual representation in order to achieve automatic characterization of the computed visual representation.

  • Patent number: 11307924
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for configuring a computing device for predictive maintenance, a computer-implemented method for predictive maintenance as well as a predictive maintenance apparatus are disclosed. Training log files including event sequences are examined iteratively for sequences of increasing length in order to determine a set of configuration data containing event sequences that have high predictive power for a system failure. Forward and backward gap values are defined such that not only sequences in the exact same temporal order as in the training log files are examined but also sequences with slightly different temporal ordering. In this way, possibly imprecise and/or incorrect time stamps in log files are compensated.

  • Patent number: 10437215
Abstract: A configuration system and method adapted to perform a configuration or reconfiguration of applications run by an automation system, the configuration system including a processing unit adapted to process at least one natural language statement of a user requirement input by a user concerning a control and/or monitoring functionality of the automation system based on a user ontology of the user and/or an automation system ontology of the automation system to generate a formal requirements specification, and a matching unit adapted to match the generated formal requirements specification and formal component specifications read from a component library to derive a configuration deployment including one or several suitable components with configurations fulfilling the input user requirement.

  • Patent number: 10095727
Abstract: A data unification device for unifying data objects includes a retrieving entity, a first providing entity, a second providing entity, and an assembling entity. The retrieving entity is configured to retrieve unstructured data objects from a number of unstructured knowledge bases and structured data objects from a number of structured knowledge bases. The first providing entity is configured to provide a number of syntactic frames for each retrieved data object, wherein each syntactic frame include a syntactic concept, a syntactic concept-instance, and a syntactic concept-instance relationship. The second providing entity is configured to provide a number of semantic frames for each retrieved data object, wherein each semantic frame includes a semantic concept, a semantic concept-instance, and a semantic concept-instance relationship. The assembling entity is configured to assemble, for each retrieved data object, the provided syntactic frames and the provided semantic frames to one semantic object.

  • Patent number: 9704098
Abstract: A computer device for generating a classifier for performing a query to a given knowledge base is provided. The given knowledge base includes predicates, subjects and objects related to each other. The computer device includes a selection entity for selecting one of the predicates, and a triple generation entity for generating, based on the given knowledge base, triples. Each of the triples includes the one selected predicate, and a subject and an object related to the one selected predicate. The computer device also includes a candidate generation entity for generating a list of properties. Each property of the list of properties is correlated to the subject and the object of one of the triples by performing a context-based query within the given knowledge base. The computer device includes a classifier generation entity for generating a classifier having the list of properties related to the selected predicate.

  • Publication number: 20150169833
Abstract: Medical experts are supported in the process of specifying and fine-tuning initial search requests by aggregating additional information about a patient context (e.g., patient, assumption, internal diagnose, external diagnose and procedure context). Mismatching information units are subsequently used as an entry point for improved and tailored information access by question answering systems. Different to traditional similarity-driven evidence ranking, an approach that does not disregard the mismatching information but emphasizes such silent signals is established.
