  • Patent number: 10533980
Abstract: A measured value of a sensor element is obtained during repeatedly executed measuring periods for performing different measurements and for setting different operating states, the sensor element being electrically connected in a periodically alternating manner, in consecutive switching positions, in a predefined order, where at least one measurement for determining the measured value is performed repeatedly within a measuring period for determining individual values at predefined switching positions, the measured value being determined from the individual values. Using the switching position within the measuring period, the operating state of the sensor element preceding the individual measurement, and therefore, the influence of the preceding circuit configuration on the individual measured value, is known, and the individual values are correspondingly corrected. By correcting the individual values, the measured value determined from the individual values is also corrected.

  • Patent number: 6655502
Abstract: A method for monitoring the thickness of at least one friction partner of a vehicle friction brake, especially the brake linings of a vehicle braking system; for each braking action, the actuating time, the applied braking pressure, the relative speed between the brake lining and the moving brake element, as well as the prevailing temperature in this region, being taken into account in a wear model in such a manner, that the wear determined by the wear model is subtracted from a starting thickness of the friction partners, in particular, the brake linings, and each wheel of the vehicle being monitored individually. A preferred polynomial formulation is specified for the wear model. In the brake lining, at least one wear stamp can also be provided, upon reaching which the current, existing brake lining thickness and/or the polynomial formulation may be appropriately corrected.

  • Patent number: 5634698
Abstract: An ABS which evaluates slip values prescribes pressure values for the wheel brakes. In order to improve the driving stability, these pressure values are varied by a brake controller using the deviation of the yawing speed from a set value and the front-axle steering angle as input variables. The brake controller determines its output values (variation values) with the aid of the fuzzy logic. Additionally, rear-axle steering is integrated into the system, the system partially also using fuzzy logic. Subsequently, an adaptation which is based on fuzzy logic and uses the brake controller and the rear-axle steering controller in a weighted fashion is proposed.

  • Patent number: 5316379
Abstract: System for controlling yawing moment in a vehicle equipped with ABS and rear wheel steering includes a controller which generates a compensation steering angle for the rear wheels based on the difference between brake pressures at the front wheels. The difference is filtered so that the angle is zero up to a minimum pressure threshold and thereafter consists of a constant portion added to a variable portion which decreases with time. The compensation steering angle so generated may be modified by a correction factor dependent on the transverse acceleration of the vehicle and a further correction factor dependent on the velocity.
