  • Patent number: 11486276
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve rotating device (24) for a valve (10), preferably an intake valve or exhaust valve, of an internal combustion engine. The valve rotating device (24) has a valve restoring spring (22) for preloading the valve (10) toward a closed position of the valve (10) and a Belleville spring (40), which is arranged in operative connection between the valve restoring spring (22) and a support surface (44), which is lubricated with a lubricating fluid. An at least partially, preferably completely, peripherally extending collar portion (46) is arranged on a periphery, preferably inner periphery, of the Belleville spring (40). The collar portion (46) can have a wear-reducing effect and/or can make the valve rotating device (24) easier to install.

  • Patent number: 11105295
Abstract: A cylinder head with connected exhaust manifold of an internal combustion engine the cylinder head has an exhaust duct ending at a cylinder head connecting face to which the exhaust manifold is connected. A flange bushing insert having a bushing part and an end-side flange, is inserted into an exhaust gas duct of the cylinder head. The bushing part has a radially protruding, circumferential bead as a spacer and sealing element that bears against the exhaust duct inner wall. The flange projects at the end of the flange bushing insert and is clamped between the cylinder head connecting face and the exhaust manifold connecting face such that a circumferential insulating gap.

  • Patent number: 10335904
Abstract: A clamping device for manufacturing an assembled camshaft for valve-controlled internal combustion engines, in which at least one cam disc with a base circle region and cam region is machined on the running surface and has a cam-disc recess, includes shrinking the cam disc onto a corresponding shaft designed with a defined dimensional overlap by cooling the shaft and heating the cam disc. Before being shrunk onto the shaft, the at least one cam disc is clamped by the clamping device such that a tension force acts on the recess wall region, the tension force corresponding to a predetermined extent to the state of stresses and/or deformation state of the recess wall region after the operation of shrinking the cam disc onto the corresponding shaft. The running-surface machining of the at least one cam disc occurs when the cam disc is clamped by the clamping device.

  • Patent number: 9776288
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an assembled camshaft for valve-controlled internal combustion engines, in which at least one cam disc with a base circle region and cam region is machined on the running surface and has a cam-disc recess, includes shrinking the cam disc onto a corresponding shaft designed with a defined dimensional overlap by cooling the shaft and heating the cam disc. Temporally before being shrunk onto the shaft, the at least one cam disc is clamped by a clamping device such that a tension force acts on the recess wall region, which defines the cam-disc recess, the tension force corresponding to a predetermined extent to the state of stresses and/or deformation state of the recess wall region after the operation of shrinking the cam disc onto the corresponding shaft. The running-surface machining of the at least one cam disc takes place when the cam disc is clamped by the clamping device.
