  • Publication number: 20200346960
Abstract: An apparatus and method for wastewater treatment including a reactor tank, a dosing unit for introducing precipitant into the reactor tank and a degassing unit for degassing the wastewater within the reactor tank at reduced pressure. The inventive methods mix the precipitant, advantageously magnesium chloride, prior to degassing the wastewater.

  • Patent number: 10647605
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, where the organic matter is first fed to a disintegration system. The organic matter is then subjected to thermal hydrolysis in the disintegration system to form disintegrated matter. The disintegrated matter is fed to a digester in which the disintegrated matter is at least partially digested such that digested sludge is formed, where at least part of the digested sludge obtained is recirculated via a recirculation line to a point upstream of the disintegration system. The invention further relates to a device for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising a disintegration system, a digester downstream thereof, and a recirculation line for at least partially digested disintegrated matter, said recirculation line extending from a point downstream of the digester to a point upstream of the thermal disintegration system.

  • Patent number: 10040685
Abstract: An apparatus for the extraction of phosphorus from wastewater that includes a precipitation module and a retention module. The precipitation module includes a crystallization vessel, one or more inlets disposed in a lower region of the precipitation module and at least one outlet disposed in an upper region of the precipitation module. The retention module includes a sedimentation vessel, at least one inlet disposed in an upper region of the retention module and at least one outlet disposed in a lower region of the retention module. At least one outlet of the precipitation module is connected to at least one inlet of the retention module and at least one outlet of the retention module is connected to at least one inlet of the precipitation module. The volume VS of the sedimentation vessel is greater than/equal to 0.6 times the volume VC of the crystallization vessel (VS?0.6·VC).

  • Publication number: 20170313612
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising the following steps: The organic matter is first thickened to increase the solids concentration. The thickened organic matter is supplied directly into a digester. The organic matter is then removed from the digester by way of a recirculation line, thermally treated and returned to the digester. The invention further relates to a device for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising a digester, a thickener and a recirculation line, where the thickener is arranged upstream of the digester, and the recirculation line is designed to supply organic matter from the digester directly to the thermal treatment device, and to return the treated organic matter to the digester.

  • Patent number: 7919000
Abstract: Disclosed is a reactor for anaerobically treating waste water, especially treating waste water from the paper industry. Said reactor comprises a reactor vessel, at least one supply pipe which is arranged in the bottom area of the reactor vessel and is used for feeding waste water that is to be treated into the reactor, at least one supply distributor for mixing the waste water fed to the reactor with the medium located in the reactor, at least one overflow port which is disposed on the top reactor vessel and is used for discharging treated water, and at least one separator. The supply distributor is provided with at least one deflection means that is embodied such that waste water discharged from the at least one supply pipe is diverted into a circular current from the perspective of the cross-section of the reactor, one to 80 percent of the cross-section of the reactor being filled by the at least one deflection means. The invention further relates to a method for anaerobically treating waste water.
