  • Patent number: 4532963
Abstract: A mechanism for selecting and raising heddle hooks in a weaving loom in response to control signals delivered by a pattern reader, wherein the mechanism includes a flexible blade for each hook and further includes a catch associated with each blade and operable to connect the blade with the hook thereby to select the hook, and the mechanism further including an electro magnetic coil operative for selecting each blade and catch in response to said control signals delivered to a shift register whose stages energize the coils, the hooks being supported by one plate and the selecting mechanisms being supported by another plate, the plates reciprocating toward and away from each other in synchronism with the loom motion.

  • Patent number: 4526210
Abstract: It comprises a grid incorporating inclined bars (13) for bending the needles (5) so that they pass above a lateral lug (8c) of the corresponding small needle (8) provided to be flat. Each small needle comprises a fine tail (8b) guided by a perforated panel (12) on which it rests in the free state by being loaded by the needle (5) which passes through a perforation (11a) in a plate (11). The paper (9) is raised in the direction of the small needles with a view to selection.

  • Patent number: 4523915
Abstract: A coupling device for coupling a loom shaft to the shaft of a weft selecting device in a weaving loom, the device comprising two opposed discs having mutually engaging teeth which automatically respond to reversal in direction of rotation of the loom shaft to introduce a desired phase shift between the loom shaft and the weft shaft, the coupling device having automatic means for locking the disc teeth after each reversal in direction of the loom to maintain the newly phase-shifted mutual orientation of the discs.

  • Patent number: 4438787
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for selecting the hooks of a weaving mechanism by successive feeling of two half zones of a card of the Jacquard type. Said device comprises a Maltese cross having four inlets determined by two perpendicular grooves and a driver of which the two pins are located at two different radial distances from the center. In this way, the Maltese cross is subjected to two alternating angular rotations of different amplitude. The invention is particularly applicable to weaving mechanisms incremental.

  • Patent number: 4418725
Abstract: An improved hook for a double-lift open shed Jacquard machine, each hook having first and second oppositely facing catches and having a boss for contacting in the low position of the hook a finger of the machine to displace the hook so that one of the catches engages a gripper of one frame, the boss being so located that the hook when in low position in displaced when pressed transversely by a needle so that the other catch engages a gripper of the other frame.
