  • Patent number: 6824177
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door latch has a latch mechanism, a locking lever movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, a motor drive, and a blocking lever engageable with the locking lever. The locking lever can be decoupled from the blocking lever during fast unlocking so that the locking lever can move into its unlocked position. A spring-loaded force-transmitting lever is coupled to the drive so as to, when displaced thereby in one direction, entrain the locking lever for fast unlocking and so as to, when displaced by the drive in an opposite direction, deflect.

  • Patent number: 6581990
Abstract: A power-closing bolt assembly for a motor-vehicle door latch has a housing, a bolt pivotal in the housing about a pivot axis between a pair of angularly offset end positions, and interengaging bolt and housing abutments respectively on the bolt and on the housing bearing angularly of the pivot axis on each other in each of the end positions. A drive displaces the bolt between the end positions. The housing abutments are spaced apart relative to the pivot axis by more than 180°.

  • Patent number: 6190209
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door latch housing has a dielectric plastic body, an electrical device secured to the body, a plurality of electrical conductors each at least partially imbedded in the body and each having an end forming a terminal adjacent the device, and a plurality of connectors on the device each is elastically deformable and bearing elastically on a respective one of the terminals. Each terminal fits in a predetermined direction with the respective connector. The connectors are deformed elastically transversely to the installation direction when fitted with the respective terminals. Thus as the device is fitted to the body, its connectors are automatically joined to the terminals.

  • Patent number: 6167770
Abstract: A drive for a door bolt of a motor-vehicle door latch has a pivot shaft fixed on the bolt offset from the bolt, a motor having a rotary output, a transmission having an input connected to the motor output and an output shaft, and a coupling directly joining the output shaft of the transmission to the pivot shaft for rotation of the bolt by the motor. The transmission output shaft and the pivot shaft are coaxial. The shafts have confronting ends formed with respective sets of axially projecting teeth that axially overlap, engage in each other, and form the coupling. These teeth are of generally triangular cross section and the teeth of the bolt shaft are angularly interleaved with the teeth of the transmission shaft. In addition a star-section element centered on the axes is formed with a plurality of radially open pockets each receiving a respective one of the teeth. This star element is elastomeric.

  • Patent number: 6152636
Abstract: A mount for attachment to a window having a pair of faces and a hole extending between the faces has a body adapted to engage one of the faces and having a pin projecting with play through the hole and past the other face, a retainer adapted to engage the other face and formed with a passage snugly receiving the pin, and an eccentric ring engaged in the hole and having an eccentric passage snugly receiving the pin. Formations on the ring and on the retainer are interengageable in any of a multiplicity of angularly offset position of the retainer relative to the eccentric ring and retain the ring against rotation in the hole relative to the bodies. The pin is in a different position relative to the window hole in each of the angularly offset positions.
