Patent number: 10044221Abstract: Auxiliary power is required by each generator to orient the rotor blades to face the wind direction and also for other control and safety functions. This auxiliary power is normally extracted from the power generated within each wind turbine generator. During servicing, auxiliary power is supplied from neighbouring generators using dedicated low-voltage cables. In the event of a fault in the high-voltage cable, connecting one of the groups of generators to the sub-station, these low-voltage cables are used to supply the generators within this group with auxiliary power from the output of one or more of the generators, in the other group of generators.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2014Date of Patent: August 7, 2018Assignee: VESTAS WIND SYSTEMS A/SInventors: Paw Rosenvard, Lars Ulrich Nielsen, Sander J. Larsen

Publication number: 20170018961Abstract: An array of wind turbine generators comprises a plurality of groups of generators, each group being connected to a mains electricity grid sub-station by means of a respective high-voltage cable. Auxiliary power is required by each generator to orient the rotor blades to face the wind direction and also for other control and safety functions. This auxiliary power is normally extracted from the power generated within each wind turbine generator. During servicing, auxiliary power is supplied from neighbouring generators using dedicated low-voltage cables. Publication number: 20070202229Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for portion cutting of food items, especially meat products, into pieces of predetermined shape, such as quadratic meat pieces, where the method comprises the following steps: feeding of the items in a first cutting device in a first feeding direction, in which device the items are cut into strips in a cutting unit, transfer of the strips from the first cutting device to at least one additional cutting device with another feeding direction different from that of the first feeding direction, and cutting in at least the one additional cutting device, in which by a cutting unit the strips are cut into pieces of predetermined shape, such as quadratic meat pieces. Furthermore, there is disclosed the use of a cutting device in an arrangement according to the invention.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2005Publication date: August 30, 2007Applicant: SCANVAEGT INTERNATIONAL A/SInventor: Ulrich Nielsen

Publication number: 20050189274Abstract: A method for weighing and portioning items utilizing a robot device. The robot device includes a grip, e.g., a suction cup, to remove an item from a delivery station to a receiving area for placement into a particular batch. The method involves placing the items at delivery station according their weight and the weight of items already moved to a receiving area, selecting the items for a batch from the combination of items available for movement to the batch, and selective batching of the items in weight-determined and, optionally, type-determined groups.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 13, 2005Publication date: September 1, 2005Applicant: Scanvaegt International A/SInventor: Ulrich Nielsen

Publication number: 20050186896Abstract: A method for monitoring and tracking the processing of a plurality of meat items which originated from an animal, with the processing utilizing instructions, such as instructions from a customer. The method comprises the steps of registering one or more of an identification of one piece of meat from the plurality of meat items, an identification of a supplier of the one piece of meat, and an identification of the animal from which the one piece of meat originated; allocating the one piece of meat to one of a plurality of workstations; registering an identification of the workstation; processing the one piece of meat into a plurality of meat cuttings at the workstation utilizing the instructions; and further processing one or more of the plurality of meat cuttings, wherein traceability is established between the one or more of the plurality of meat cuttings and one or more of the one piece of meat, the supplier, and the animal from which the one piece of meat originated.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 18, 2003Publication date: August 25, 2005Applicant: SCANVAEGT INTERNATIONAL A/SInventor: Ulrich Nielsen

Publication number: 20050120848Abstract: A trim table for use by trimming and/or cutting of food products, such as chicken or fish, has conveyors (2, 12) for feeding products to a number of operator stands (O1 . . . O8), each of which receivers (14, 24R, 28R) for receiving products (10), a cutting table (16, 24C, 28C) for trimming and/or cutting the products (10) into product pieces (10a, 10b) and sorters (6, 20), and further, transport of the cut or trimmed products (10a, 10b). One or more of the operator stands (O1 . . . O8) are provided with mechanisms (18, 24, 28) for automatic transferal of the products (10) from the receivers (14, 24R, 28R) onto the cutting table (16, 24C, 28C). By a trim table, the products are brought to the operator, so that the operator is spared from having to repeatedly lift products as has necessary in the past. As a result, the operator's working position is significantly improved, just as the work place at the trim table according to the invention is also improved ergonomically.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2005Publication date: June 9, 2005Applicant: Scanvaegt International A/SInventor: Ulrich Nielsen

Patent number: 6364758Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the evisceration of carcasses conveyed on a slaughter line suspended in gambrels or hooks, where the abdomen and breast have been cut open, the hams divided and the fat end loosened, and wherein the carcass intestines are loosened, removed and placed on a gut pan or conveyor, the diaphragm is loosened and the plucks are removed and placed on a plucks conveyor. In loosening of the intestines, the connections of the intestines with the spinal column are broken, so that the intestines are made to hang out of the abdominal cavity. The diaphragm and leaf fat are loosened mechanically while the intestines are hanging out of the carcass and are connected to the plucks. The latter loosening is effected by a pressing device (5) and a hoop device (6) which can be moved independent of each other in the lengthways direction of the carcass.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2000Date of Patent: April 2, 2002Assignee: Slagteriernes ForskningsinstitutInventors: Jens Ulrich Nielsen, Arne Druekær
