  • Patent number: 7430935
Abstract: A vehicle transmission having seven forward gears and one reverse gear is described. A first forward gear is a crawling and/or hill gear having a large transmission ratio for low driving speeds, and the other forward gears are intended for normal driving. The transmission includes an input shaft, an output shaft arranged coaxially to the input shaft, an auxiliary shaft arranged parallel to the input shaft and to the output shaft, seven gearwheel stages disposed in gear set planes offset coaxially from each other. In a specified forward gear, intended for normal driving, the torque is transmitted from one gearwheel of one of the gearwheel stages to the other gearwheel of the gearwheel stage. When the crawling and/or hill gear is engaged, the torque is transmitted in the opposite direction from that in the specified forward gear over the corresponding gearwheel stage.

  • Patent number: 7285070
Abstract: What is proposed is a variator disk for a toroidal variator, in particular for a motor vehicle toroidal transmission. The variator disk has a curved running surface which is oriented coaxially with respect to a variator axis and on which rollers of the toroidal variator can roll. The variator disk having furthermore at least two partial disks which are designed as a traction disk, on which the running surface is formed, and as a supporting disk, respectively. The supporting disk is designed for supporting axial forces applied to the running surface. The traction disk is supported on the supporting disk in the radial direction to the variator axis.

  • Publication number: 20070214904
Abstract: A double-clutch transmission for vehicles is described. The device has a driveshaft and an output shaft, a first transmission input shaft coaxial with a second transmission input shaft, which may be hollow. A first clutch is provided, used to coupled the driveshaft to the first transmission input shaft, and a second clutch, used to couple the driveshaft to the second transmission input shaft. A first, second, third, and fourth gearwheel step are provided, as well as an intermediate drive, which is driven by the first or the second transmission input shaft via one of the gearwheel steps as a function of the shift state of the gearwheel steps. The first transmission input shaft is assigned to the first and the second gearwheel steps, and the second transmission input shaft is assigned to the third and the fourth gearwheel steps.

  • Patent number: 6935282
Abstract: A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and a fuel cell for supplying electric vehicle systems. The fuel cell is thermally “coupled” with the internal combustion engine. The waste heat of the internal combustion engine is used for heating the fuel cell, that is, for maintaining the operating temperature of the fuel cell. The fuel cell is arranged directly on the engine where, in the case of conventional vehicles, the transmission is arranged. The transmission is arranged in the area of the rear axle in front of the rear-axle divider transmission.
