    Abstract: A system having preclinical emergency care modules which produce a complex condition dependent control system that is as integral as possible in combination with a human emergency worker. At the system level, an intelligent decision-making system is provided which leads to measures that are optimized for the situation with and without the emergency worker. The modules exhibit a different behavior depending on the situation and interaction. In the process, the emergency worker can be utilized as an additional sensor/actuator module. Based on all obtained sensor data, which is weighted differently, decision-making support is proposed to the emergency worker, or the system makes decisions automatically. The protected communication of the modules is of particular importance for this purpose.

    Abstract: A medical supply unit with a height-adjustable connection head, e.g., in the form of a ceiling-mounted supply unit or ceiling lamp, is able to receive a working device, e.g., an anesthesiological apparatus, while ensuring reliable coupling for this purpose, so that the user will be able to perform a procedure reliably, with the working device being correctly connected. This is made possible by a coupling part 34 equipped with guide faces 35, with which a receiving part 14 engages, which is provided with complementarily extending receiving jaws 15 and which actuates--in the case of correctly fitting engagement--electrical contacts 18, such that the control elements 10 provided on a control panel 9 for height adjustment of the connection head 1 and/or for supplying the working device 30 with the media needed for operation are released.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to an arrangement for generating and metering a gas mixture which includes controllable adjusting elements whereby the gas mixture is either conducted through a bypass line past a vaporizer unit to a consumer or is conducted through the vaporizer unit and from there to the consumer. With this arrangement, a calibration of the carrier gas metering especially at low flow quantities is obtained which is continuously reproducible and either carried out manually or automatically without interruption of the metering operation. This is achieved in that a calibrating line opens into a calibrating vessel upstream of the vaporizer unit and the calibrating vessel can be separated by way of shutoff valves from the vaporizer line and a level indicator is connected to the calibrating vessel.
