  • Patent number: 8302259
Abstract: A spring hinge for spectacles includes a housing, a hinge element, at least one spring element, and a blocking body. The housing has a recess which at least partially accommodates the hinge element, the at least one spring element, and the blocking body. The spring element and the blocking body are coupled directly to one another. At least one spring element subjects the blocking body to a prestress force on account of which the blocking body can be displaced out of an unlocking position into a locking position in which it interacts with a locking surface.

  • Patent number: 8166610
Abstract: An electrically weldable spring hinge for eyeglasses includes a housing open on a bottom side having a cavity into which a spring element may be inserted and in which at least one support element is provided. The spring hinge additionally includes a hinge element displaceably supported in the housing. The at least one support element is essentially centrally located in the region of an open end face section of the housing and, starting from a base area of the housing, protrudes into the cavity in a freestanding manner. A welding button for electrically welding the housing to the eyeglass element is provided on the bottom side of the support element facing an eyeglass element.

  • Publication number: 20110016666
Abstract: The invention proposes a spring hinge (1) for spectacles, having a housing (3), a hinge element (7), at least one spring element (9) and a blocking body (11), wherein the housing (3) has a recess (5) which at least partially accommodates the hinge element (7), the at least one spring element (9), and the blocking body (11). The spring hinge (1) proposed is distinguished in that the spring element (9) and the blocking body (11) are coupled directly to one another, and in that the at least one spring element (9) subjects the blocking body (11) to a prestress force on account of which the blocking body (11) can be displaced out of an unlocking position into a locking position, in which it interacts with a locking surface (49).

  • Publication number: 20100299872
Abstract: A hinge (1) for eyeglasses is provided, comprising a central part and earpieces emerging therefrom, a first hinge part (3) which is provided on the central part, a second hinge part (5) which is provided on the earpiece, wherein one of the hinge parts (3) has at least three tabs (13, 13a, 13b) situated at a distance from one another, and one of the hinge parts (5) has at least two tabs (15, 15a) which are situated at a distance from one another in such a way that the tabs can be positioned in the gaps between the tabs of the other hinge part, the tabs each have a through hole through which a screw (11) provided with an external thread (47) and a head (43) extends in the assembled state of the hinge (1), and wherein two adjacent tabs (13, 13a) are provided, of which only one has a through hole (33) having an internal thread (35), and the other tab is provided with a through hole (37), the inside diameter of which is selected in such a way that the through hole does not cooperate with the external thread (47
