  • Patent number: 11904843
Abstract: A method and system for autonomous parking are disclosed. The system employs Homography guided motion segmentation (HGMS) to determine the availability of a parking slot. A free parking slot is determined based on an occupancy status check and identified structures of parking lines. For example, motion analysis is performed on successive images captured by a camera unit to determine the occupancy status of a parking slot. Information of the free parking slot, for example, the dimensions and orientation, may be determined from identifying the structure of parking lines. This information is used by the system to guide a vehicle from its current location to the detected free parking slot.

  • Publication number: 20230122293
Abstract: An autonomous driving system capable of detecting oncoming occluded vehicles is disclosed in low-light conditions. The system captures images which are processed and analyzed to determine bright spots in a region of interest which are related to reflections of an oncoming occluded vehicle. If an oncoming occluded vehicle is detected, the system analyzes the criticality of the situation based on a tunable threshold distance. The tunable threshold distance from the equipped vehicle (vehicle with the autonomous driving system) to the oncoming occluded vehicle. Factors for tuning the threshold distance may include curvature of the road, sharpness of the turn or occluded area, road surface conditions, speed of the equipped vehicle as well as mechanical capabilities of the equipped vehicle. If the situation is critical, the system generates a warning signal indicating a hazardous condition.

  • Patent number: 9946941
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to lane detection, and more particularly to method and systems for lane detection. In one embodiment, a method for lane detection is includes generating an edge image including inbound edges of lane-markings corresponding to a road image. Based on an adaptive thresholding of intensity of lane-markings from image strips selected from the image, a plurality of lane masks are extracted. A plurality of valid lane masks are selected from the plurality of lane masks based on a structure and intensity information of the plurality of valid lane masks in the image strips. An overlap between the inbound edges and the valid lane masks is determined to identify a plurality of edge segments of the pair of inbound edges belonging to the lane-markings. A set of valid edge segments of the pair of inbound edges are obtained based on the curvature information of the edge segments.

  • Patent number: 9913606
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and system for determining health condition of a subject. First step of the method comprises receiving, by a computing unit, a first oxygen saturation level and a second oxygen saturation level from at least two sensors placed on the subject. Second step of the method comprises determining cerebral extraction of oxygen using the first and second oxygen saturation levels. Third step of the method comprises comparing the cerebral extraction of oxygen with a threshold level. Fourth step of the method comprises identifying a mental fatigue level of the subject based on outcome of the comparison, wherein the mental fatigue level indicates the health condition of the subject.

  • Publication number: 20160148149
Abstract: A method, shelf life analysis computing device, and non-transitory computer readable medium for determining shelf life of a consumable product is disclosed. The system may comprise one or more activity monitoring sensors to detect an activity associated with the consumable product. The system may further comprise one or more quality sensors to collect quality data of the consumable product upon detecting the activity. The shelf life of the consumable product may then be determined based on the quality data of the consumable product.

  • Publication number: 20160143571
Abstract: This technology relates to a method and system for determining psychological disorder condition in a person and providing assistance to the person with the psychological disorder. One or more sensors are placed on the person to monitor the activities of the person. The one or more sensors provide sensor data associated with the monitored activities of the person to a computing unit. The computing unit detects the activities and identifies a recurring activity. For the recurring activity, the computing unit determines probability parameters and based on the probability parameters the probability of the psychological condition is determined. For providing assistance to the person with psychological disorder condition, the computing compares the activity with the disorder activities stored in the computing unit. If a match is found, then one or more indications are provided to the person to indicate that the activity has already been performed.

  • Publication number: 20150305688
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method of determining discharge readiness condition for a patient. The sensors are placed on patient to monitor the physiological condition of the patient and to transmit physiological data to computing device. The patient also provides non-physiological data using mobile device to computing device. The processor configured in computing unit assigns predefined weighted ratio to each of the physiological data and non-physiological data to generate weighted physiological and non-physiological data. The processor generates recovery score using the weighted physiological data and the non-physiological data and compares the recovery score with reference recovery score. The reference recovery score is personalized for each patient using weighted personal reference score and weighted EMR reference score.
