The lens with an antifog coating may include: a lens composed of a transparent optical material; a hydrophilic layer applied only on a first surface of the lens; and a hydrophobic nanolayer applied on top of the hydrophilic layer, In some embodiments, the hydrophobic nanolayer may be applied only on top of the hydrophilic layer applied on the first surface of the lens.
