  • Patent number: 11114971
Abstract: In a method for controlling a drive motor of an actuator for actuating a valve, the power of the drive motor is supplied by pulse width modulated voltage controlled by a control frequency to adjust the actuator coupled to a valve into a desired position. The control frequency is changed such that a mixture of frequencies is produced. The control frequency is changed in steps. The frequencies of the mixture of frequencies are selected to be near the nominal control frequency. A drive motor of an actuator is provided that is controlled by the described method.

  • Patent number: 9080975
Abstract: A measuring device (2) draws out an aerosol air mixture from the working chamber (4) of the machine and feeds it to an optical sensor unit with an optical emitter (15) and an optical receiver (17). A compressed air jet pump (8) includes a compressed air feed (26), a compressed air nozzle (32), a preferably funnel-shaped pressure discharge channel and an underpressure region (10), with the compressed air nozzle (32) having an outlet direction oriented substantially in the direction of the pressure discharge channel. • Publication number: 20150000388
Abstract: In order to improve a system for monitoring the working chamber atmosphere of a machine, there is proposed a measuring device (2) with a suction means (8) that draws out an aerosol air mixture from the working chamber (4) of the machine and feeds the same to an optical sensor unit with at least an optical emitter (15) and at least an optical receiver (17). The optical sensor unit is operated by means of an electronic device. The suction means is configured as a compressed air jet pump (8) with a compressed air feed (26), a compressed air nozzle (32), a preferably funnel-shaped pressure discharge channel and an underpressure region (10), with the compressed air nozzle (32) having an outlet direction which is oriented substantially in the direction of the pressure discharge channel. The compressed air feed (26) can be connected to a compressed air source. A suction line that can be connected to the working chamber (4) of the machine is connected to the underpressure region (10).

  • Patent number: 8695400
Abstract: In order to improve a system for monitoring the working area atmosphere of an operating engine, measuring devices (2) for determining readings for a gas and/or an aerosol in the working area (4) of an operating engine are used as a starting point. Each measuring device comprises a suction means (8) which extracts a gas and/or a mixture of an aerosol from the working area (4) of the operating engine and feeds it to a sensor unit (16, 17, 18). An electronics module for operating the sensor unit (16, 17, 18) is also present. The suction means is designed as a convection pump (8) preferably with a heating device (42) and a cooling device (44).

  • Publication number: 20100229543
Abstract: A device for influencing an exhaust gas flow, in particular for controlling sound emission in an exhaust branch of an engine, has a closure member that is driven by a motor in the exhaust pipe. The closure member produces pressure pulsations in the exhaust gas, so that a so-called “sound design” is possible. A force-transmitting, thermal decoupling member is integrated into a force transmission member located between the drive motor and the closure member to interrupt the heat transfer between the closure member and the drive motor.

  • Publication number: 20090217668
Abstract: A device for influencing an exhaust gas flow, in particular for controlling the sound emission in an exhaust branch of an engine, includes a closure member that is movably arranged in the exhaust gas flow. For example, the closure member comprises a flap driven by a motor to move the closure member in the exhaust gas flow. It is thus optionally possible to produce or influence pressure pulsations in the exhaust gas which lead to an audible sound emission. The device according to the invention provides for a so-called “sound design” of a combustion engine. The driving device (the drive motor and a force transmission member to the closure member) is equipped with an active cooling system.

  • Patent number: 7111555
Abstract: A method and a device is used for reducing vibrations on at least two rotating elements, such as cooperating cylinders, which roll in opposite directions while situated in contact with each other. At least one of the elements has a surface protrusion that projects from an essentially circular contour of an active lateral surface. A height of this protrusion can be altered in a radial direction. A circumferential position of the protrusion can also be altered, all in accordance with a quality that characterizes a machine state or vibration.
