  • Patent number: 10752062
Abstract: A system for indirectly monitoring the inflation pressure of pneumatic-tyred vehicle wheels, and also to a wheel. The wheel is having a wheel body with a rim part and a disc part, and a tyre detachably fitted on the rim part of the wheel body. The wheel comprises at least one deformation sensor for sensing the tyre inflation pressure at the time, and the system comprises a data transmission device for transmitting sensor signals of the at least one sensor to an evaluation device, and an evaluation device for evaluating the sensor signals. In order to provide a system and vehicle wheels that are simplified in comparison with the tyre pressure monitoring system previously used, the deformation sensor is fitted on the wheel body and is usable or used for sensing inflation-pressure-dependent deformations of the wheel body.

  • Publication number: 20050150476
Abstract: The invention relates to a combination of individually pre-fabricated cylinder linings consisting of a light metal alloy with inlaid hard phases for casting into a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine. In said combination, a plurality of cylinder linings (2,3,4) are joined in a row by means of a non-positive and/or positive engagement, the distance between the axes of the cylinder linings corresponding to the cylinder bore center distance of the cylinder block.

  • Patent number: 6840132
Abstract: A pedal unit including a four-bar parallelogram is made up of an upper retainer piece, a lower retainer bracket, with footplate attached and two roughly parallel arms, which are each rotatably mounted at one end on the upper retainer piece and at the other end on the lower retainer bracket. The pedal unit may rotate about a main bearing. An adjuster device for the adjustment of the footplate, predominantly in the X-direction, is provided. The upper retainer piece and a sliding block are mounted on a guide pinion in a displaceable and adjustable manner. A rod bearing is arranged on the guide pinion, whereas the main bearing is arranged on the sliding block and a main bearing tie and a rod bearing tie are provided, one end of each being rotatably connected to a solid bearing block and the other free end rotatably mounted in the main bearing or the rod bearing. A longitudinally adjustable strut is mounted between the arms with both ends rotatably connected to the above arms.

  • Patent number: 6473949
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing articulated joints by assembling prefabricated parts, which comprise a pin defining an axis on which at least one articulated part having a bearing hole is to be pivotally mounted by means of a bearing bush. The parts are randomly delivered and, if required, automatically processed in a machine to assemble the joints. Cost-effective production of articulated joints with freely adjustable torques using automatic can be achieved machines by carrying out the following steps: determining the actual dimensions of the bearing holes, the pin and at least one of the two bearing bushes; comparing the determined actual dimensions and the values derived therefrom, especially the ratios, with the threshold values that can be fixed in order to obtain the desired result and inputting control commands into the automatically working machine with the purpose of processing at least one of the parts before assembling the latter.

  • Patent number: 6221185
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing components from critical cold forming of light metal strip, preferably naturally hard Al alloys of the AlMg or AlMg—Mn types, in which the desired component is manufactured from the strip by at least one cold forming step and the plasticity is improved before the cold forming by means of a soft annealing. According to the invention, it is proposed that the region of the longitudinal edges of the cold-slit strips is heated in a depth in the strip width of at least 1 mm to a maximum of 10 mm in such a way that a temperature of over 150° C. is reached over a time span of more than 0.1 seconds to a maximum of 10 seconds.

  • Patent number: 5971496
Abstract: A vehicle having a rim and a wheel disk center or convex wheel disk which is connected thereto and is secured by a hub or brake drum with a plurality of connection bosses for the wheel bolt holes arranged along the circumference of the bolt pitch circle. The connection bosses have a spherical or conical countersink, and the region surrounding the countersink is cambered outward. The wheel disk center or convex wheel disk has contact surfaces for the hub or brake drum which are distributed along the circumference. The region of the connection boss which surrounds the countersink, is significantly thicker in all cross-sectional planes than the more remote region which forms the wheel disk center or convex wheel disk. The region surrounding the countersink forms an integral unit with the more remote region.

  • Patent number: 5933956
Abstract: A light-metal strip wheel, in particular for motor vehicles, which includes a wheel disk and a rim. The wheel disk comprises two wheel-disk parts each having a ventilation hole. The ventilation holes have necks that when pressed into one another, secure together the two wheel-disk parts with the two parts separated from one another in the region surrounding the ventilation holes, while coming to rest on one another in a hub region. The space between the two wheel-disk parts in the region surrounding the ventilation holes increases the stiffness of the strip wheel so that the wheel is suitable for accommodating large loads.

  • Patent number: 5806395
Abstract: Method and apparatus for removing an edge fin produced on a workpiece surface during the production of metal rim reinforcement strips. The edge fin is removed after the rim is clamped in the longitudinal direction by cutting a lateral incision into the edge fin along the longitudinal direction just above the workpiece surface. The cutting tool may be stationary blades or roll blades, the latter blades cooperating with a support for the edge fin during lateral cutting.

  • Patent number: 5632528
Abstract: A vehicle wheel with tire consisting of a rim and a pneumatic tire, in which an encircling disk-type ring which extends the clinch in the radial direction is arranged on the clinch that points toward the middle of the vehicle. A divided rim ring is movably arranged on the inner side of the clinch and has an inner diameter which is less than the apex of the standard shape of the rim. The free ends of the rim ring, in order to form a ring closed by positive connection in the circumferential direction, have cross-sectional forms which fit complementary to one another.
