  • Patent number: 8582095
Abstract: A spectrometer measuring head has a pivotally mounted mirror (1) and at least one source of optical radiation (2) or a device for uncoupling optical radiation are arranged in a housing (6) in such a manner that the optical radiation is incident, by orientating the mirror either on a reference body (3) in the housing or on the substance (14) that is to be analyzed via a window (7) of the housing. The mirror is mechanically coupled to a drive (4) or to a flexing resonator in the housing.

  • Publication number: 20110001968
Abstract: The invention relates to spectrometer measuring heads (12) for analysing characteristic variables of liquid, pasty or solid substances for optical spectrometer systems. Said measuring heads are characterised, in particular, by their long-term stability, low maintenance and simple production. A rotationally mounted mirror (I) and at least one source of optical radiation (2) or a device for uncoupling optical radiation are arranged in a housing (6) in such a manner that the optical radiation is incident, by orientating the rotationally mounted mirror either on a reference body (3) in the housing or on the substance (14) that is to be analysed via a window (7) of the housing. The mirror is mechanically coupled to a drive (4) or a bending beam and as a flexing resonator in the housing.

  • Patent number: 6015715
Abstract: Method of manufacturing a sensitive single-layer system for optically detecting a concentration of an analyte, such as, for example, oxygen, the analyte being capable of investigation in liquid or gaseous aggregate condition or in a dissolved condition, by adsorption, luminescence or luminescence quenching of an indicator sensitive to the analyte, which is preferably permanently immobilized in the optical beam path. The sensitive single-layer system achieves a reproducible and extremely short response behavior. Indicators are adsorbed on a filler material and thereafter a mixture is produced with a matrix material permeable to the analyte to be detected. Then, under the action of pressure, the mixture is extruded onto a substrate, the layer thickness being formed in dependence on the applied pressure used. The applied sensitive layer is polymerized, polycondensed or hardened and the layer is also homogenized by swelling in a fluorescence indicator solution.

  • Patent number: 5812255
Abstract: The proposed fibre-optic sensor is based on surface plasmon resonance and consists of a monomode fibre with multiple angled facets at its end face and suitable coatings. A first partial face is preferably metal-coated, a second is provided with a conventional detection layer, and the angle between the two partial surface is 30.degree., 45.degree. or 90.degree..
