  • Publication number: 20060007432
Abstract: In an optical arrangement for obtaining a measurement signal for power measurement in lasers, the object is to reliably prevent laser radiation-induced contamination of the optically active surfaces with comparatively simple means, so that the optical properties of the surfaces, in particular the reflection coefficient, remain unchanged for a longer period of time than in the past. A beam splitter that is arranged on the laser beam axis and that directs a fraction of the laser beam onto a sensor by reflection, has optically active surfaces for the reflection that limit an opposing contamination-free, hermetically sealed inner space that is highly transmissive for the wavelength of the laser radiation.

  • Patent number: 6266358
Abstract: The invention relates to a diode-pumped solid-state laser (DSSL) comprises a pumping light source having a diode stack. The inventive laser also comprises a laser rod and a pumping cavity, whereby the pumping light source accommodated in a separate housing can be exchanged as a pumping module with simple handles. As a result, the pumping light source is protected from electrostatic discharge of the diodes, mechanical stress and from contamination. Given that it is possible to accommodate alternative pumping light sources of varying pumping capacities in the pumping module, the user can exchange the pumping module when the pumping module is worn as well as when additional power is required.

  • Patent number: 6046427
Abstract: The invention concerns a process to cut, perforate, or inscribe repeating patterns in continuously-moving flat material by locally vaporizing the flat material with at least one controllable laser beam from at least one beam deflection system whereby each laser beam is moved relative to the flat material in two perpendicular directions (x and y) from a fixed point, and a device to implement the procedure.
