  • Patent number: 7650978
Abstract: An actuating mechanism (1) for operating a parking-lock mechanism of the drive chain of a vehicle with an automatic drive. The actuating mechanism has a piston unit (4), a detent element and an electromagnetic operating device (6) for operating a release element (7), which is intended for deactivating the detent element (5). The piston unit communicates with an emergency unlocking mechanism (14) and is positioned to open the locking mechanism by way of the piston unit. The detent element, the piston unit and the release element interact such that the locking mechanism remains in the currently engaged state when the locking mechanism is open and the operating device is not electrified, as well as when the locking mechanism is closed and a fluid pressure is applied to the piston unit.

  • Publication number: 20080277236
Abstract: A parking lock device for the power train of motor vehicles with automatic transmissions having an actuator and a locking mechanism that is operated by the actuator. A power take-off of the power train locked in a closed condition by the locking mechanism and is free to rotatable in open condition by the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may be engaged by pressurizing a piston unit of the actuator in a locking direction and may be held in a disengaged condition by a snap-in locking device controlled by an electromagnetic actuator. The snap-in locking device may be deactivated by the electromagnetic actuator. The locking mechanism may be engaged with an emergency locking device and opened with an emergency unlocking device and activated with a common actuator mechanism so that manual activation of the actuator mechanism alternatively disengages or engages the locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6969986
Abstract: A method is described for determining a rotation speed and a rotation direction of a component (2), in particular a transmission output shaft, with a sensor device (1). In the sensor device (1), as a function of a rotation speed and direction of the component (2), a first sensor signal and a second sensor signal are generated, which are phase shifted relative to one another and each of which, on reaching an upper switching threshold or a lower switching threshold in the sensor device (1), triggers a switching signal. When there are alternating, consecutive switching signals of the two sensor signals, the sensor device (1) emits a pulse signal as a function of which a variation of a sensor signal is generated, which is used to determine a rotation speed of the component (2).

  • Patent number: 6527670
Abstract: An electronic-hydraulic control device of an automatic automobile transmission with frictional clutches or brakes that can be hydraulically operated to shift individual gears (A, B C, D, E), and with an electronic control device (32) which is electrically connected with a lever inside the motor vehicle, shifting gears depending on the preselected lever position and certain parameters of the combustion engine and transmission. If the electronic control device (32) thus de-energizing all solenoid valves (11, 12, 15, 16), an emergency gear is maintained during forward travel until the combustion engine is shut off after which the parking mechanism is automatically engaged, and if the electronic transmission control (32) fails during rearward travel, all clutches or brakes are depressurized and the parking mechanism is automatically engaged.

  • Patent number: 6471027
Abstract: Parking brake, notably for automatic transmissions of motor vehicles, which is released via hydraulic pressure acting on a spring accumulator (3) and which is additionally held in the released state by a locking system (13) is actuated by a magnet (5) through which a current flows. The locking system (13) is kept activated and thus the parking brake released until the magnet (5) in the position in which the locking system (13) is actuated, has a power consumption lower than necessary for loading the locking system (13).
