Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for a display system driving a display device is provided. The display system includes a processor, a primary display controller, a secondary display controller and the display device. The primary display controller receives display data that is sent by the processor. The primary display controller also drives the display device when the processor sends new display frames. When these display frames are sent by the processor continuously, control of the display device is switched to the secondary display controller, which is optimized for a low-power operation.

Abstract: A synchronization mechanism embeds synchronization triggers into a television signal or stream at regular intervals. The triggers include an accurate representation of the time in which the triggers were embedded. A receiving device decodes the triggers and synchronizes its internal timer based on the triggers. In this regard, the receiving device obtains a reference time from the internal timer and computes an offset between the reference time and the trigger time. The computed offset is then applied to the reference time. With the receipt of each new trigger, the application compares the trigger time to a new reference time with the most recently computed offset value applied. If there is any variance between these two values, the application creates a new smoothed offset.

Abstract: Disclosed are smart digital modules, a smart digital wall combining the smart digital modules, a context-aware interactive multimedia system, and an operating method thereof. The smart digital wall includes local coordinators for controlling the smart digital modules, and a coordination process for controlling the smart digital modules. The smart digital modules sense ambient states and changes of states and independently display corresponding actuations. The coordination process is connected to the smart digital modules via radio communication, and combines smart digital modules to control collective operations of the smart digital modules.
