  • Patent number: 11908070
Abstract: Disclosed is a dynamic three-dimensional imaging method that allows the generation of a three-dimensional numerical model that represents an observed three-dimensional scene. The generated model optimally combines (404) data from two intermediate three-dimensional numerical models, respectively obtained by a stereoscopic three-dimensional reconstruction calculation method (402) and by a method of three-dimensional reconstruction calculation through learning (403). In addition, each new model that is generated helps to improve the overall performance of the method of three-dimensional reconstruction calculation by learning.

  • Patent number: 11759091
Abstract: The device for visualizing the interior of a patient's mouth, includes a camera for taking an optical imprint of organs arranged in the mouth. The device includes augmented reality glasses having an optical glass through which a user of the glasses can see the inside of the mouth, and a visualization camera taking an image of what the user sees through the optical glass. First images corresponding to those taken by the visualization camera are correlated with second images corresponding to those taken by the camera for taking an optical imprint, whereby the second images can be projected onto the optical glass.

  • Publication number: 20230240818
Abstract: By combining the wide field of the image sensor of a smartphone (61) or the like, with the precision of the image sensor of an IOS (62) or the like, the process of generating a three-dimensional reconstruction of a patient's dental arch, referred to as extended optical impression, is improved and simplified. More specifically, the practitioner can take, in a single image, a global but not very precise 3D reconstruction (30) of the arch, then substitute, for the areas (or sectors) of this reconstruction which require a finer precision, precise local 3D reconstructions (41,42,43) obtained with the IOS. A related algorithm (263) is responsible for merging the global reconstruction with each of the local reconstructions, in order to produce a single precise 3D reconstruction (50) which corresponds to the desired optical impression.

  • Publication number: 20230222750
Abstract: Disclosed is a 3D reconstruction method for obtaining, from a 2D colour image of a human face with a visible toothed portion (1), a single reconstructed 3D surface of the toothed portion and of the facial portion (4) without toothed portion. The method comprises segmenting the 2D image into a first part (22) corresponding to the toothed portion (1) and a second part corresponding to the facial portion (4) without said toothed portion, enhancing the first part of the 2D image in order to modify the photometric characteristics, and generating a 3D surface of the face reconstructed from the enhanced first part of the 2D image and from the second part of the 2D image. The obtained 3D surface of the face is suitable for simulating a dental treatment, by substituting on the area of the 3D surface corresponding to the toothed portion (1), another 3D surface corresponding to the toothed portion after the projected treatment.

  • Publication number: 20230206451
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for automatic segmentation of a dental arch that comprises acquiring a three-dimensional surface of the dental arch, in order to obtain a three-dimensional representation comprising a set of vertices, generating virtual views from the three-dimensional representation, projecting the three-dimensional representation onto each two-dimensional virtual view, in order to obtain an image representing each vertex on the virtual view, processing each image by means of a deep learning network, carrying out inverse projection of each image in order to assign, to each vertex of the three-dimensional representation, one or more pixels of the images in which the vertex appears and to which it corresponds, and assigning one or more probability vectors to each vertex, determining the class of dental tissue to which each vertex most probably belongs based on the probability vector or vectors.

  • Publication number: 20210045851
Abstract: An electronic impression tray can be used to obtain three-dimensional and temporal measurements in dentistry. There is a device having optical measurement sensor system, and an electronic system including a central management unit capable of collecting, storing and ordering the data obtained by the sensor systems distributed over all or part of the impression tray. An optical impression of all or part of a dental arch can be obtained with a single or multiple impressions. The tray includes a part having the shape of all or part of a dental arch, and the part can change by virtue of its ability to deform and/or a structure formed by multiple elements that are hinged to one another and/or reversibly assembled and secured to one another, such as to provide the optimal shape.

  • Publication number: 20140146142
Abstract: The three dimensional measuring device used in the dental field and aimed at measuring in the absence of projection of active or structured light, includes an image-capturing device and data-processor for images. The image-capturing device is capable of simultaneously, or almost simultaneously, capturing at least two images, one of which is totally or partially included in the other one. The included image describes a narrower field than that of the other one, and has a higher accuracy than that of the other one.
