    Abstract: A process synthesizes C5 and higher hydrocarbons from natural gas through intermediate conversion of natural gas to synthesis gas and subsequent conversion of CO and H2 by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The process includes steam reforming of natural gas in a steam reforming reactor to form synthesis gas, separating carbon dioxide from the synthesis gas by a liquid absorption method to a residual carbon dioxide content in the synthesis gas no more than 5 vol. %, separating an excess of hydrogen from the synthesis gas by a hydrogen-permeable membrane apparatus to a H2:CO molar ratio in the range of 1.9 to 2.3 and synthesizing liquid hydrocarbon from the synthesis gas by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to petrochemistry and gas chemistry, and discloses a support for catalysis of exothermic processes, particularly the Fischer-Tropsch process, methanol synthesis, hydrogenation and purification of exhaust gases. The support comprises metallic aluminum in the form of a mixture of dispersed powders of flaky and spherical aluminum and the support is in the form of pellets, preferably cylinders, tablets, balls, obtained by extrusion, pelletization, tabletting, rounding or liquid molding. The catalyst prepared on the support comprises an active metal selected from the group consisting of Co, Fe, Ni, Ru, Rh, Pt, Pd, Cu and mixtures thereof.

A reactor for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is provided comprising tubes with catalyst in a shell, the ratio of the tube diameter at the tube outlet to the diameter at the inlet is from 1.5/1 to 2.5/1.
