Patent number: 11059357Abstract: A vehicle cab having a moveable roof section. The movement of the roof section is based on the location of the sun relative to the vehicle cab, such that the roof section moves to act as a sun shade for the cab. The roof section is provided with a sun sensor to determine the sun location, so that the roof section can automatically move to provide an adaptive sun shade.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2017Date of Patent: July 13, 2021Assignee: AGCO International GmbHInventors: Valentin Daniel Joel Leconte, Koffi Djidjan

Patent number: 10227958Abstract: A pre-filter assembly for a vehicle arranged with an aspiration duct extending between the pre-filter and a fan of the vehicle. A variable valve element is provided as part of the aspiration duct adjacent the fan, such that the aspiration rate through the duct can be controlled by appropriate variation of the valve element, to control the rate of airflow drawn through the aspiration duct by the fan. This allows for the aspiration rate of the pre-filter to be at least partly independent of the flow rate of the fan, without the need for an additional motor-driven blower unit.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2017Date of Patent: March 12, 2019Assignee: AGCO International GmbHInventors: Laurent Meyer, Valentin Daniel Joel Leconte, Jonas Lécuelle

Patent number: 9987581Abstract: There is described a HVAC pre-filter system for a vehicle. The pre-filter system acts to prevent relatively large or coarse debris from reaching a dedicated HVAC filter through the use of at least one pre-filter element, which is provided in at least one inlet/outlet connected to ambient air. The pre-filter system has an inlet to supply air to the HVAC system, and an outlet to allow for air to exit from a vehicle cab interior, and the inlet/outlet can be switched to be fluidly coupled with either the HVAC inlet or the cab outlet. Dependent on which inlet or outlet the inlet/outlet is coupled with, the flow direction in the inlet/outlet can be controlled. Accordingly, the pre-filter can be cleaned of accumulated dust and debris by reversing the direction of airflow through the inlet/outlet.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2016Date of Patent: June 5, 2018Assignee: AGCO International GmbHInventors: Valentin Daniel Joel Leconte, Etienne Demeiller

Publication number: 20170326966Abstract: A heat exchanger system for an agricultural vehicle. The heat exchanger system has at least two separate heat exchanger assemblies, where an adjustable baffle is used to vary the airflow between the heat exchanger assemblies, accordingly varying the cooling effect of the assemblies, based on system requirements. The adjustable baffle may be arranged to restrict or block at least a portion of a heat exchanger to reduce airflow through the exchanger, to provide a flow bypass of an exchanger, and/or to proportionally adjust the airflow through a pair of heat exchangers provided as part of a single heat exchanger assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2015Publication date: November 16, 2017Inventors: Julien MARCANT, Valentin Daniel Joel LECONTE, Laurent MEYER

Patent number: 8641792Abstract: An air intake system (20) for a utility vehicle engine (16) is provided. The system comprises an air filter module (21) having a pre-filter (22) upstream of a main filter (24) wherein the pre-filter serves to extract dust from the air stream. The system further comprises a fan module (32) which is dedicated to deliver a scavenging vacuum which sucks said dust through a scavenger vent (28) in the pre-filter. The fan module (34) is secured to the air filter module (21). By providing a dedicated fan for extracting the dust from the system the reliance on the engine exhaust to provide the vacuum is removed. Furthermore, the securing of the fan module to the air filter module reduces the number of components on the vehicle assembly line.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2009Date of Patent: February 4, 2014Assignee: Agco SAInventors: Tony Marcel Prel Vladaj, Valentin Daniel Joel Leconte
