  • Publication number: 20030024556
Abstract: The present invention relates to a foaming composition suitable for topical application, containing fibers and a surfactant system such that at least one direct hexaganol or cubic paracrystalline phase appears when the temperature increases beyond 30° C., where this paracrystalline phase remains present up to at least 45° C. The surfactant system preferably contains at least one water-soluble surfactant and at least one surfactant which is insoluble in water. It preferably contains at least one water-soluble soap. The invention compositions may be present in the form of creams and they have a good physical stability at ambient temperature and even up to at least 45° C. They can be especially used in the cosmetic or dermatological fields, as products for cleansing or for removing make-up from the skin, the scalp and/or the hair, etc.

  • Patent number: 6361782
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition, in particular a cosmetic or dermatological composition, for caring for and/or making up the skin, that includes: a liquid fatty phase including polymer particles that are dispersed and surface-stabilized therein, and a dyestuff, wherein the liquid fatty phase includes a volatile liquid phase and a non-volatile liquid phase, the non-volatile phase having a solubility parameter &dgr;h≦5 (J/cm3)½ and wherein a volatile phase/non-volatile phase weight ratio ranges from 2 to 25. This composition makes it possible to obtain on the skin a flexible, comfortable, non-greasy film which can camouflage marks, dyschromia and couperose on the skin. The invention also relates to a process for camouflaging marks and other dyschromia on the skin.

  • Patent number: 6284281
Abstract: Cosmetic composition comprising particles of melamine-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde resin and its uses. The present application relates to a composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one oily phase and particles of melamine-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde resin, to the use of the said composition, especially as a cosmetic composition for caring for and/or making up the skin, in particular for softening defects of the relief of the skin, such as microrelief features, wrinkles or pores, while conferring a natural appearance on the skin, and to its use in treating greasy skin. The particles advantageously have a number-average size ranging from approximately 0.1 to 20 &mgr;m. The composition of the invention can be anhydrous or can be provided in the form of a water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsion. The invention also relates to the use of particles of melamine-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde resin as mattifying agent in a cosmetic composition.
