  • Patent number: 11565782
Abstract: An outboard engine ballistic protection system is provided that can be adapted for use with existing small water craft outboard motors. A mounting band circumscribes and is affixed to the power head cowling. The mounting band may be formed of a pair of symmetrically affixed band straps that may be impinged about the cowling and secured fore and aft via a fastening mechanism. Laterally extended struts are provided offset from the port, starboard and aft sections of the power head. A panel support is perpendicularly affixed at an outer terminus of each strut. Mounted to the panel supports about an outer perimeter are a port protection panel, a starboard protection panel, and an aft protection panel. Each protection panel forms ballistic barrier system providing low weight, high energy absorbing structures and materials for ballistic protection against projectiles from munitions and/or shrapnel.

  • Patent number: 10082372
Abstract: A ballistic resistant curtain system is provided formed of a plurality of aligned ballistic material panels. Panels protect vertical surfaces, and can be reconfigured for horizontal surfaces or other oriented areas. Adjacent panels may be are aligned end to end in a butt or overlap manner, or configured to be angularly disposed toward the direction of fire such as to form a line of sight overlap. Each panel is formed of high strength fibers made from materials such as extended chain ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. An exterior coating formed of fabric, polyurethane, or other material provides both an acoustic attenuation or sound absorbing surface as well as an aesthetic facing for providing an improved visual appearance to the area. • Patent number: 10052843
Abstract: A ballistic shielding material element is provided formed of molecularly oriented layers of material, such a polyethylene or HDPE that is modified using the application of continuous mechanical tension in combination with alternating heating and cooling cycles. The molecularly oriented planar material may then be used in the creation of ballistic resistant material panels through bias lay-up of subsequent layers. Further, the final multilayer composite may be additionally cured to form a final shape, such as a sheet material for construction or three dimensional shapes such as helmets, shields or custom shapes as needed by the end user. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Patent number: 10048046
Abstract: A shooting range booth is provided having a pair of upwardly extending spaced apart multi-ply walls and a frame element for attaching to and supporting the walls in upright positions. Each walls has a frame connecting inner panels and having outer ballistic resistant plates. The ballistic resistant plates are formed of interlineated layers of modified polyethylene materials and layers of carbon nanotubes between adjacent modified polyethylene material layers. • Patent number: 9944041
Abstract: A composite ballistic shielding material is formed utilizing ribbons of randomly-oriented film, laid up or woven in bias plies. The sheet plies are made narrow strips of PVC films are held side-by-side and rigidly framed as a square, into a thin layer, and then trimmed. The strips may be approximately 0.010? wide. The formed up layer is then immersed in a low-hardness thermosetting liquid glue and laid down as a first ply. Subsequent plies are made by repeating the same process, and adding the step of rotating the frame to a pre-determined angle before laying down the ply onto the previous ply. When a pre-determined number of layers or a desired thickness is achieved, the lay-up is transferred to a press for curing into panels. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Patent number: 8319830
Abstract: An ice fishing camera support device generally comprises a base portion that rotatably supports an indexed wheel. The support base generally comprises a circular top portion and downward-protruding side wall extending from the outer peripheral section of the top portion. A plurality of gripping teeth extend from the bottom surface of the side wall. The gripping teeth may be embedded into the ice surface to prevent the camera support device from sliding on the ice surface. The indexed wheel is centrally supported within the recessed section and may be freely rotated with respect to the support base. The support base and the indexed wheel comprise a slotted section which extends from their centers through their peripheral edges. An underwater camera cable is inserted into the slot, and the indexed wheel may be rotated with respect to the support base to precisely determine the angular orientation of the underwater camera.

  • Patent number: 8092373
Abstract: An ergonomic holding assist device for endoscopes comprises an attachment mechanism to removably secure the hand assist device to an endoscope. An ergonomic component comfortably fills a space made between a naturally extended palm and the grip portion of the endoscope. A center plate sandwiched between the attachment mechanism and the ergonomic component provides an approximate ½-inch clearance to a top of the device so that the ergonomic component reaches a thenar crease of the palm more comfortably. The flexor tendon of the thumb is comfortably supported by the ergonomic component so that endoscope-work-related injuries are avoided.
