  • Patent number: 10541990
Abstract: A system may include a client device to connect to a network and a network device communicatively coupled to the client device. The network device may determine that the client device has been authenticated to the network via a captive portal page. The network device may further create a ticket corresponding to the client device. Possession of the ticket by the client device may indicate authentication of the client device to the network. The network device may then transmit the ticket to the client device for storage on the client device. The stored ticket may enable the client device to remain authenticated to the network after a period of inactivity.

  • Publication number: 20180376516
Abstract: Some examples relate to establishing a DTLS connection between nodes in a cluster. In an example, an initiator node in a cluster may send a DTLS message of a first type to a responder node. The DTLS message may include a header comprising: a message type field for identifying a message type, a flag field for identifying a message sender and a message category, an initiator connection ID field for identifying a connection ID allocated by the initiator node, and a responder connection ID field for identifying a connection ID allocated by the responder node. In DTLS message of the first type, the message type may represent a connection initiation request message, the initiator connection ID field may include a connection ID allocated by the initiator node, the responder connection ID field may be set to zero, and flag field may identify the initiator node as message sender.

  • Patent number: 9509606
Abstract: A system includes: multiple access points, the multiple access points including at least a first access point and a second access point; the system performs operations including: receiving, by the second access point from a client device, a data packet to be transmitted to a device outside of the system; forwarding the data packet by the second access point to the first access point; assigning, by the first access point, a first sequence number to the data packet to be used for transmitting the data packet outside of the system; transmitting the data packet with the first sequence number to the device outside of the system.

  • Patent number: 8755274
Abstract: A method and system for adaptive data rate-limiting includes a processor (112) operable to process data at a maximum data processing rate among at least one cryptographic algorithm. A data rate limiter (116) is operable to weight the processing rate of each cryptographic algorithm by a predetermined factor for adapting a data rate of a transceiver of the communication device by the processor based on the at least one cryptographic algorithm being used in the communication device (100) and its associated weighted processing rate.
