  • Patent number: 11909496
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). For example, the UE receives a first indication indicating a same quasi co-location (QCL) mapping for multiple receive beams corresponding to a group of transmit and receive beam pairs from a network entity. Transmit and receive beam pairs are different from each other and grouping of the transmit and receive beam pairs is based on a distance between the UE and the network entity. The UE selects one of the multiple receive beams corresponding to the group of transmit and receive beam pairs, based on the distance between the UE and the network entity.

  • Patent number: 11910234
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Multiple user equipments (UEs) may communicate as part of a sidelink communications system. The UEs may identify a frame for a sidelink connection. The frame may include a control portion and a data portion. One UE of a pair of UEs may receive a data signal from the other UE of the pair, and the data signal may be received in the data portion of the first instance of the frame and in the control portion of a second instance of the frame. Another pair of UEs may attempt to reserve a subsequent data portion by transmitting a request signal in the control portion in the second instance of the frame, and the second pair of UEs may receive a suppression signal from the first pair of UEs indicating ongoing data transmission by the first pair of UEs.

  • Publication number: 20240015757
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. When operating in a high-pathloss mode, wireless devices in a network may transmit or receive downlink control information (DCI) that schedules a transmission time interval (TTI) for a physical shared channel (such as a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH)). A wireless device may determine one or more intervals that correspond to a periodic signal that collides with portions of the TTI. Based on the identified intervals, the wireless device may communicate over the physical shared channel during the TTI. In such cases, the TTI may overlap in time with the one or more intervals to allow communication of the periodic signal during the portions of the TTI. For instance, a periodic signal may be transmitted or received during each of the one or more intervals.

  • Publication number: 20240007174
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating a set of sampling beams defined for the UE. The UE may measure a set of received signal strengths for communications from a wireless node associated with a set of linear combinations of sampling beams from the set of sampling beams defined at the UE. The UE may calculate a set of entries of a channel covariance matrix based on the set of received signal strengths of the set of linear combinations of the sampling beams from the set of sampling beams defined for the UE. As such, the UE may communicate with the wireless node based on applying a set of beam weights to an antenna array of the UE. In some examples, the set of beam weights may be based on the channel covariance matrix.

  • Patent number: 11864129
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication to a base station that a total received power for the UE exceeds an overload threshold. In some cases, the indication may be an explicit request for a decrease in transmit power by a specific amount of reduction. The UE may transmit indications that the overload threshold is exceeded to multiple transmit/receive points. The indications may request specific transmit power reduction amounts that are specific to the TRPs, or may be generic indications that the overload threshold is exceeded, and the TRPs may coordinate to reduce their respective transmit powers to satisfy the overload threshold at the UE. The base station may allocate a first set of resources for near field UEs and a second set of resources for far field UEs.
