Abstract: This invention relates to a method, a device and a system for indicating the direction to the desired point in a cellular network in which base stations transfer communication and form cells, and in which base stations communicate with the mobile transceivers within the cell area. According to the method the direction to a desired location is calculated as a network service on the basis of the transceiver's (1) defined location in relation to the direction of the earth's magnetic field, and this direction being sent as a message from the base station to the transceiver that is equipped with a detector (5) that indicates the direction of the earth's magnetic field. According to the invention based on the directional information contained in the sent message and the direction of the transceiver the direction to the desired location is shown on the display (7) of the transceiver.
