  • Patent number: 10962939
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for customizable content moderation using neural networks with fine-grained and dynamic image classification ontology. A content moderation system of the present disclosure may provide a plurality of image categories in which a subset of of image categories may be designated as restricted categories. The restricted categories may be chosen by a content provider or an end-user. The content moderation system may utilize a neural network to classify image data (e.g., still images, video, etc.) into one or more of the plurality of image categories, and determine that an image is a restricted image upon classifying the image into one of the restricted categories. The restricted image may by flagged, rejected, removed, or otherwise filtered upon being classified as a restricted image.

  • Patent number: 8879848
Abstract: System and method for measuring distances in an image. An image is received that includes curves corresponding to one or more objects in the image. Multiple curves in a specified region of interest (ROI) in the image are detected, where the ROI has a specified direction. Each curve includes respective curve points. A convex hull is determined based on the respective curve points. One or more candidate antipodal point pairs of the convex hull are determined. A first point pair of the one or more antipodal point pairs is selected based on one or more specified constraints. A clamp angle corresponding to the first point pair is determined. A distance between the first point pair along a direction specified by the clamp angle is determined. The first point pair, the distance, and the clamp angle are stored. Calibration information may be applied at any point during the process.

  • Patent number: 8107723
Abstract: A system for measurement of three-dimensional motion of an object is provided. The system includes a light projection means adapted for projecting, for distinct time intervals, light of at least two different colors with a cross-sectional pattern of fringe lines onto a surface of the object and also includes image acquisition means for capturing an image of the object during an exposure time, wherein the distinct time intervals are within the duration of the exposure time. The system further includes image processing means adapted for processing the image to obtain a different depth map for each color based on a projected pattern of fringe lines on the object as viewed from the position of the image acquisition means, to determine corresponding points on the depth maps of each color, and to determine a three-dimensional motion characteristic of the object based on the positions of corresponding points on the depth maps.

  • Publication number: 20120019654
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring the vibration characteristics of an object is disclosed. The method includes illuminating the object using at least two light sources, the at least two light sources emitting light of distinct colors wherein each of the at least two light sources are strobed at a respective delay, capturing reflected light from the object to result into one image of the object, the image including at least two distinguishable color channels capable of distinguishing the distinct colors of the light, and processing the image to compute the vibration characteristics associated with the object from positions of the points on the object in the at least two distinguishable color channels of the image.
