  • Patent number: 10335745
Abstract: The present invention provides a semipermeable membrane having enhanced alkaline stability and a method of forming a semipermeable membrane having enhanced alkaline stability, comprising steps of: providing an ultrafiltration (UF) base membrane, immersing said UF membrane in a solution comprising at least one substance selected from the group consisting of a polymer preferably polyethylenimine (PEI), a condensate solution and a mixture thereof, thereby forming reactive moieties upon said UF membrane, and forming at least one first layer upon at least portion of said UF base support membrane by immersing said UF base support membrane of step (b) in a solution comprising at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of polymer preferably polyethylenimine (PEI), condensate solution and a mixture thereof thereby forming a cross-linked skin on the surface of said base membrane.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 18, 2014
Date of Patent: July 2, 2019
Assignee: AMS TECHNOLOGIES INT. (2012) LTD
Inventors: Polina Lapido, Vera Ginzburg, Hagit Shalev, Boris Ginzburg
  • Patent number: 9943811
Abstract: Solvent and acid stable ultrafiltration and nanofiltration membranes including a non-cross-linked base polymer having reactive pendant moieties, the base polymer being modified by forming a cross-linked skin onto a surface thereof, the skin being formed by a cross-linking reaction of reactive pendant moieties on the surface with an oligomer or another polymer as well as methods of manufacture and use thereof, including, inter alia separating metal ions from liquid process streams.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 2, 2015
Date of Patent: April 17, 2018
Assignee: AMS TECHNOLOGIES IN. (2012) LTD

  • Publication number: 20120197820
Abstract: In exemplary embodiments, an apparatus and method for providing pricing options in a consultation system is provided. In one embodiment, user input from a user is received. The user input is directed to a question the user intends to post to the consultation system. Pricing factors are determined in part from the user input. A pricing option is then determined by analyzing the pricing factors with pricing attribute data whereby the pricing attribute data may be based on current consultation system dynamics, user history, and completed transactions on the consultation system. The determined pricing option is presented.
