Patent number: 11458000Abstract: A flosser cartridge including a body having a peripheral wall with first and second ends, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. A cleaning tip extends longitudinally outwardly from the body's first end and a groove or a ridge is provided on an exterior surface of the peripheral wall. The groove or ridge is configured to engage a complementary ridge or groove on a cradle of a dental device into which the cartridge is loaded. A bore originates in an opening in the second end of the cartridge body and extends inwardly towards the first end thereof. A stack of identical flosser cartridges are loaded into the cradle one above the other. The first region and cleaning tip of a lower cartridge in the stack is received with the bore of an upper cartridge located immediately above the lower cartridge.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2021Date of Patent: October 4, 2022Inventors: Zenovia Zmiyiwsky, Vera Zmiyiwsky, Bartek Zalewski, Christopher J. Publication number: 20210137658Abstract: A dental device for cleaning oral interproximal spaces, a flosser cartridge for engagement in the dental device, and method of use thereof. The implement includes a housing which receives a cradle carrying a cartridge stack. The cradle and cartridge stack are rotated by manipulating a control knob at a rear end of the housing. Rotation of the cradle causes the flosser cartridge stack to be progressively moved forwardly along a helical track toward an opening in the housing's front end. The cleaning tip on a forwardmost cartridge extends outwardly through the opening and is covered by a cap prior to use. The cap is removed when the user wishes to clean their teeth. The forwardmost cartridge is snapped off the stack and disposed of after use. Rotation of the cradle moves a second cartridge in the stack into the forwardmost position where the second cartridge is then ready for use.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2021Publication date: May 13, 2021Applicant: Zee Zee CorporationInventors: Zenovia Zmiyiwsky, Vera Zmiyiwsky, Bartek Zalewski, Christopher J. Patent number: 10743971Abstract: A dental implement for cleaning interproximal spaces and a method of use. The implement includes a sleeve with first and second ends and a bore defined therebetween. A stack of cartridges is insertable into the bore. Each cartridge includes a cleaning tip such as an interproximal brush. A cap may be engaged with the sleeve to protect the tip and keep it hygienic. The cartridges are progressively advanced along the bore to present their cleaning tip for use. A locking member secures the uppermost cartridge in place. Once used, a cartridge is removed from the sleeve and may be discarded or inserted into an opening to the bore in the sleeve's second end. The tip may be snapped off prior to insertion. The cartridge stack is drawn along the bore as the uppermost cartridge is removed or insertion of the spent cartridge will advance the cartridge stack along the bore.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2019Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Assignee: Zee Zee CorporationInventors: Zenovia Zmiyiwsky, Vera Zmiyiwsky

Patent number: 10231808Abstract: A toothpick assembly including a toothpick and case within which the toothpick is detachably engaged. The toothpick includes a tapered tip which is generally triangular in cross-section having opposed sides connected by a generally flat bottom and an apex. A bristle array is provided on each side and the bottom and apex are free of bristles. The bristle array is configured as a sinuous or serpentine wave. Bristles in each array are smallest closest to an end of the tip and progressively increase in size as you move away therefrom. The toothpick is movable within the case's bore between a fully retracted, a partially extended and a fully extended position. A locking mechanism selectively locks the toothpick in any of these positions. When the toothpick is to be changed, the locking mechanism is disengaged and the toothpick is slid out of the bore and is replaced with a new toothpick.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2015Date of Patent: March 19, 2019Assignee: Zee Zee CorporationInventors: Zenovia Zmiyiwsky, Vera Zmiyiwsky, Robert G. Publication number: 20160038262Abstract: A toothpick assembly that is engaged with a cover and is movable between extended, partially extended and retracted positions relative to the cover. The toothpick assembly includes a base with first and second ends; a locking assembly provided at the first end of the base that secures the base to the cover; and a toothpick provided at the second end of the base. The toothpick includes first and second regions. The first region defines sinusoidal grooves in the side faces thereof and a row of bristles extending outwardly from each groove. The bristles are integrally formed with rest of the toothpick assembly and taper in length from the base and towards the second region. The second region is bristle-free and terminates in an upwardly curving tip. The first and second regions taper in width moving toward the tip so that toothpick is easily inserted into an interdental space.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2015Publication date: February 11, 2016Inventors: Zenovia Zmiyiwsky, Vera Zmiyiwsky, Robert G.
