  • Patent number: 4310119
Abstract: A swing-type centrifugal extractor has a main body rotatable about a vertical axis which is pivotally attached to a plurality of platforms which, in the quiescent state, depend from their pivotal attachment to the body. A honey pan having an inner peripheral edge spaced above the pan bottom receives a capping catcher which includes a mesh body held within a solid frame. A fixed frame super is uncapped by severing the cappings from the super combs in a manner which allows the cappings to remain adhered to the combs by viscosity of honey. The fixed frame super is rested upon the capping catcher in the pan and the pan rests upon one of the extractor platforms. The extractor body is rotated and the platforms extend radially outward. Centrifugal force causes the severed cappings to slide from the combs and rest in the capping catcher where most of the honey is drained from them. The centrifugal force also causes extraction of honey from the honey combs.

  • Patent number: 4250640
Abstract: A frame for supporting a transparent holder provided with at least one pocket for retaining and positioning a photograph, and the like, has a support member including a planar support surface arranged for supporting the holder, and a device provided on the support member for retaining the holder. In most instances, the positioning device comprising a plurality of pins arranged for being received in the apertures conventionally provided on the transparent holder, although strips of material provided with a contact adhesive can be employed for gripping the holder, either in conjunction with or independently of the pins.

  • Patent number: 4141098
Abstract: A honey super has a pair of opposing end walls each provided with a socket disposed directly opposite the socket provided in the other of the end walls. A bar is disposed in the sockets so as to support a comb foundation of a frame disposed in the super, with the foundation being attached to the end walls of the super in such a manner that the end walls of the super partially form the frame. By increasing the number of sockets, any desired number of frames can be arranged in the honey super, space permitting.
