  • Patent number: 4465257
Abstract: A concrete forming structure including a collapsible form having at least one form panel section and a rigid corner adjacent thereto and with the panel section having a forming face. A two-way hinge filler structure between the section and the rigid corner. The hinge filler structure including a series of hinge plates with a pair of the hinge plates being attached to the form. The hinge plates including a pair of spaced hinges joining the hinge plates in hinged assembly together and with the hinges lying in a plane common to the forming face of the section. Means is provided for holding the panel section in a predetermined position to facilitate the pouring of the concrete and with the means being releasable. The panel section being pivotal on the hinges to effect disengagement of the panel section from the poured concrete.

  • Patent number: 4463925
Abstract: A concrete forming structure including a collapsible form having at least one form panel section. The section having a marginal flange structure mounted thereon at one side and vertically spaced slots on the marginal flange structure for receiving wedge bolts at selected intervals. A one-way escape hinge structure for the form including a pair of first and second hinge plates, the hinge plates including a hinge securing said plates at one of their ends. The first of said hinge plates having vertically spaced wedge bolt slots spaced at intervals generally coinciding to the spacing of the slots on the marginal flange of the panel section. Locking pairs of wedge bolts each having an enlarged end are provided. One wedge bolt of each pair extends through the cooperating slots in the first hinge plate and the marginal flange structure of the panel section with its enlarged end resting against the hinge plate.

  • Patent number: 4433826
Abstract: An adjustable long bolt for connecting modular concrete form panels. The bolt is generally flat along its length and has a pair of elongated slots disposed in adjacency to opposite ends of the bolt. At least one circular hole is disposed between the slots having its mid-point disposed along a longitudinal line in longitudinal alignment with longitudinal axes of said elongated slots. The longitudinal spacing between the elongated slots with respect to the at least one circular hole being varied to enable the bolt to be installed in a larger number of adjustable positions by turning the bolt on its end through an arc of rotation of 180.degree..

  • Patent number: 4418884
Abstract: A concrete forming structure for culverts, tunnels, elevator shafts and the like, having side panels and chamfered corners. Novel two-way hinge assemblies are provided adjacent the chamfered corners and comprise two hinges and an angle iron disposed therebetween. The hinges are attached to confronting marginal faces of side panel sections and corner panel sections. Means are provided for holding the panel sections in a predetermined position to facilitate the pouring of the concrete and with the means being releasable. The panel sections and hinges are cooperable to allow the panel section to collapse and move after release of the means for allowing the panel section to be readily disengaged from the thus formed poured concrete. The hinges are lockable in a forming configuration.

  • Patent number: 4235560
Abstract: A transition bolt for clamping together the side rails of a pair of edge-to-edge concrete wall form panels or the like comprises an enlarged head portion, a reduced shoulder portion, and a further reduced shank portion and is characterized by the fact that the shoulder and shank portions are flat-sided and have their sides coplanar and the shank portion is formed with interrupted screw threads along its edges for reception thereover of a threaded nut.

  • Patent number: 4228986
Abstract: An attachment for use in anchoring a safety belt on a vertically extending supporting member such as a frame member of a concrete wall form side includes a plate-like bracket member and a connecting member extending outwardly from one face of the bracket member. The bracket member is disposed on one side of the supporting member and projects outwardly beyond a vertical free edge thereof in use, while the connecting member is inserted through an opening in the supporting member, which may be an opening provided for other purposes in a frame member of a form side, for securing the attachment to the supporting member. An opening is provided in the projecting portion of the bracket member, and it serves to receive an element of a safety belt for connecting the belt to the bracket member.

  • Patent number: 4210306
Abstract: A safety key designed specifically for use in connection with concrete wall form panels of the "Steel-Ply" or metal-encased type. The key affords an anchor eyelet or hole for receiving the hook which invariably is provided on one end of a safety belt that is worn by a workman who is obliged to work on the concrete wall form at an extremely high or unsafe level or elevation. The key in one form of the invention embodies a shank and an enlarged head, the shank being received in the opposed notches which are formed in the outermost abutting ribs of the mating and abutting frame members or bars of the marginal reinforcing frames of two adjacent wall form panels, and being removably locked in place by a pair of conventional coacting wedge bolts. The enlarged head on the shank defines the aforementioned anchor eyelet or hole.

  • Patent number: 4055321
Abstract: An inside articulated and collapsible form adapted for use in the formation of a rectangular concrete corewall and having at its corners novel three-way hinge assemblies including main hinge leaves which are movable between right angular positions wherein the four form sides with which they are associated assume extended positions wherein their panel facings conform to the outline of the inside face of the corewall to be formed by pouring wet concrete around the form, and acute angle positions wherein such form sides assume collapsed positions which are inwardly removed from such outline while the hinge leaves constitute rub rails which guide the collapsed form axially along and within the surrounding hardened concrete corewall during removal of the form the formed corewall.

  • Patent number: 4030694
Abstract: A composite concrete wall form unit or assembly consisting of three metal-clad panels connected together in edge-to-edge relationship, the medial panel embodying a plywood facing with a rectangular metal-reinforcing or backing frame, such medial panel constituting a prefabricated fill-in panel for making up an odd dimension which exists between two adjacent outer panels. Such outer panels are of a larger size and likewise are prefabricated in such a manner that they possess a common plywood facing which extends across the plywood facing of the smaller medial panel in face-to-face relationship and thus bridges the odd dimension. A special and novel transition bolt is used for connecting each side rail of the reinforcing frame of the medial panel to the adjacent side rail of the adjacent outer panel.
