The invention also relates to compositions containing the emulsion and to the cosmetic use of these compositions and emulsions for, e.g., smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines and/or for restoring tautness to the skin.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition suitable for topical application to the skin, containing a dispersion of colloidal particles, which do not have thickening properties, of at least one inorganic filler—in particular silica—in a physiologically acceptable medium containing at least one volatile oil and at least one nonvolatile oil, the composition being free of cyclopentasiloxane. Advantageously, the weight ratio of volatile oils to nonvolatile oils is between 1:1 and 3:1.
