Abstract: A galley cart is suspended from a rail or track that extends along the length of an aircraft cabin above the aisle and rows of passenger seats of the aircraft. The galley cart is automated to move along the track above the aisle in response to movements of a flight attendant that is serving passengers from the suspended galley cart. The galley cart is provided with open bins for storage of food products, a beverage dispenser that is operable by the flight attendant to dispense a beverage requested by a passenger from a plurality of different beverages available from the suspended cart, and an ice dispenser for serving ice with the beverages requested by the passengers.

Abstract: A method and apparatus comprising a mobile platform, a movement system associated with the mobile platform, a location system, and a navigator. The mobile platform is configured to hold a passenger. The movement system is configured to move the mobile platform. The location system is configured to identify a location of the mobile platform. The navigator is configured to identify flight information for the passenger. The navigator is further configured to generate a route to a gate for the passenger using the flight information. The navigator is further configured to control the movement system to move the mobile platform along the route using the location of the mobile platform.

Abstract: The invention discloses differing embodiments of trash management systems and methods for the disposal and/or collection of trash. In one embodiment under the invention, a trash management system may include a mobile cart, a trash vessel connected to the cart, a piston adapted to compact trash within the trash vessel, and a passageway adapted to be connected to a vacuum trash disposal. The piston may be adapted to travel from one position to a second position, and back from the second position to the first position. This movement of the piston may be achieved utilizing multiple passageways which are each adapted to be connected to a vacuum source and a vent source.

The system includes an electronic display element controlled to display a seating layout that accurately depicts the configuration of seats on a vehicle to be boarded. During the boarding procedure, the seating layout is updated in real-time with distinguishing visual elements that indicate whether seats are awaiting boarding, currently boarding, or have already boarded.
