  • Patent number: 11286702
Abstract: A power drive module for a vehicle power door includes a housing, a drive mechanism arranged in the housing and configured to move a drive element, and a brake assembly arranged in the housing. The brake assembly includes a brake ring operatively coupled to the drive mechanism. A brake band is wrapped about the brake ring and movable between a normally engaged position relative to the brake ring and a disengaged position relative to the brake ring. A brake release actuator is operatively connected to the brake band and configured to move the brake band between the engaged and disengaged positions with the brake ring in response to an electrical signal.

  • Patent number: 10930383
Abstract: A blister pack for dispensing medication comprises a substantially flat backing, a plurality of blisters formed on the backing, first and second sets of conductive traces applied to the backing, a plurality of breakable resistive traces applied to the backing, and a controller adapted to detect breakage of the resistive traces under the blisters by measuring the voltage across each of either the first set of conductive traces or the second set of conductive traces. The blisters are arranged in a grid comprising rows of blisters and columns of blisters. Each of the first set of conductive traces is associated with one of the rows of blisters. Each of the second set of conductive traces is associated with one of the columns of blisters. For each blister, one or more of the resistive traces are applied to the backing under the blister to form a subcircuit, and the subcircuit connects one of the first set of conductive traces with one of the second set of conductive traces.

  • Patent number: 10104047
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and method of encrypting and decrypting Optical Transport Network (OTN) payload content. A transmitter of the system includes a series of ordered encryption keys and a counter for generating an initialization vector to be combined with one of the encryption keys for encrypting the OTN payload content. A receiver of the system includes a series of ordered decryption keys and a counter for generating an initialization vector to be combined with one of the decryption keys for decrypting the encrypted OTN payload content. The system synchronizes switching, at the transmitter and the receiver, the encryption and decryption keys to the next keys in each series. The system also synchronizes the counters for generating the same initialization vector at the transmitter and the receiver.

  • Patent number: 10089445
Abstract: A blister pack for dispensing medication comprises a substantially flat backing, blisters formed on the backing, breakable resistive traces, conductive traces, a power source for applying electrical power to the traces, and a controller. The blisters and the backing form cavities for containing the medication, and each blister is coupled with another blister to form pairs of blisters. Resistive traces are applied to the backing under each blister. For each pair of blisters, the resistive traces under a first blister of the pair of blisters is connected in parallel by the conductive traces with the resistive traces under a second blister of the pair of blisters. The controller detects breakage of the resistive traces under the blisters for each pair of blisters by measuring the voltage across the resistive traces under each pair of blisters, and communicate the status to a remote server for instant analysis and reporting to parties of interest.

  • Patent number: 9363226
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and computer system for double IP address recovery. Double IP address is a situation of a same IP address for different hosts in a network, and the double IP address recovery resolves the double IP address. In the invention, the hosts exchanges rules and system state information. Each of the hosts determines its own action of the double IP address recovery based on the same rules and the system state information of the different hosts. Each of the hosts executes its own action, either to continue or to alter an IP address.

  • Patent number: 8020683
Abstract: A novel magnetic friction clutch is disclosed which is capable of relatively high torque transfer for friction discs of a given diameter, compared to prior art magnetic clutches. A friction coating with good magnetic permeability, such as Ferrous Aluminide or the like, is applied to inner and outer annular regions of the three friction discs and increases the frictional coefficient of the discs with little reduction in the clamping force developed through the clutch.

  • Patent number: 7938473
Abstract: An electromechanical strut is provided for moving a pivotal lift gate between an open position and a closed position relative to a motor vehicle body. The electromechanical strut includes a housing connected to one of the lift gate and the motor vehicle body. An extensible shaft is slidably mounted to the housing. The extensible shaft is connected to the other of the lift gate and the motor vehicle body. A drive mechanism includes a rotatable power screw. The drive mechanism converts rotary motion of the power screw into linear motion of the extensible shaft to move the extensible shaft between a retracted position corresponding to the closed position of the lift gate and an extended position corresponding to the open position of the lift gate. A power spring includes one end connected to the extensible shaft and another end connected to the housing for providing a mechanical counterbalance to the weight of the lift gate.
